Maryam offered to explain in defense of nanny Vera. "I'm Maryam, your personal hair stylist and makeup artist from now on, Mrs. Wilson," she officially introduced herself. "It's okay. Mary said with more confidence than she had had in a long time. Father Link made the arrangements and the following Wednesday Mary started going to the orphanage. The work was sometimes hard.
