“Let’s get smoothies.” We both walked up to a smoothie shop. Somewhere in the middle of the smoothie-maker blending the strawberry- banana smoothie, my stomach dropped with a realization. I forgot we had drama rehearsals. I forgot that we would never make it back to school in time if we trekked. But now I remembered. In the middle of a painfully loud blender blending up various fruits, I remembered. I looked at Liam. “A little extra lemon juice, if you can,” Liam said over the counter as he eyed the lemon in the smoothie-maker’s hand.

The crowd had a million questions but Xasha had not ceded the floor nor had he explained what the other thing was, "the liquid is a potion made from moon mango extract." "Moon mangoes?" Asked the king. "Yes," was Xasha's reply. The entire room knew what this meant. They had all read up on moon mangoes and dreamt of the day they might happen upon a single fruit. None, even at their most ambitious, was brazen enough to wish for a tree.

“That would be... hell, let’s just say, not the best mix.” “We could try something more traditional, like strawberry or peach,” he suggested, enthusiastically. I tilted my head, thinking for a moment, then my face lit up. “Litchi!” I squeaked, my voice suddenly louder and filled with excitement. He paused for a moment, then grinned, clearly impressed by my suggestion. “Litchi, huh? That could actually work! Litchi is sweet and a little floral, so it would pair nicely with lemonade.” “Do you want it served with ice?” he asked as he began preparing the drink.

Lily shouted. I picked up one bowl and a spoon, digging into the scrunchy cream. The first thing I picked up was apples and then, a little hint of alcohol. The combo was creamy, crunchy, and had a lot of flavors, apple being the strongest. Larissa definitely certainly helped with this. Not bad, not bad at all. "It's—"

"What's in it?" "Absolut Vodka and splash Dekuyper sour apple pucker schnapps." Bella snorts, a laugh escaping her mouth. "I don't know what all that means but it tastes good. I like it." "I knew you would, although you've got enough of that already." Mason can sense Bella wants to ask and in response, he cranes his neck a little, his eyes not so subtly staring at Bella's ass and Bella gets it. Bella blushed furiously, subconsciously rubbing her thumb over her cheeks. She has her own little dirty jokes too and she wants to use them on Mason since he's obviously playing dirty.

Several minutes later, Stanley brought over a piping hot glass of lemon water and placed it down before her. He had used a transparent milk glass and two pieces of lemon could clearly be seen inside. The faint scent of lemon lingered at the tip of Xyla’s nose, calming her senses. Bringing out another similar lemon drink, Stanley sat down beside her. After carefully blowing on the drink to cool it, Xyla took a small sip. It had a nice taste but the sweetness was lacking. “How does it taste?” he asked. “It needs a little more sugar,” she said. Stanley got up immediately and brought out a seasoning container from the kitchen. He took out a spoonful of sugar and put it into Xyla’s lemon drink.

I supposed because it was just one more thing about him that surprised me. “Nope. Winging it.” Clearly not. I gave him a dirty look. He met it defiantly. A slight smirk turning his lips. “Very funny.” He turned and opened a container of leafy greens, putting them in a bowl and using a spritz of lemon over it. He chopped some cherry tomatoes in half and dumped them over it and diced some strawberries to toss in before lining another layer of lemon juice. Lemon, tomato, and strawberry? Those didn’t seem like flavors that would compliment each other.

“That's good. It's good to see you eating and not rushing over to the bathroom to throw it up a second later.” “Yeah.” I say, drinking my water. “Can I at least have some juice to go with this instead of water?” I asked, pouting. Maya cocks a brow and chuckles. “Alright, I'll take pity on you. But,” she says, raising her finger. “But what again?” I asked with a frown. “But, it has to be lemon juice, nothing else.” I sighed heavily. “You know, you're worse than a doctor. Thank God you're actually not a doctor or all your patients will grumble at the sight of you.”

“Like. . .” Maddox studied her. “Like what?” “It tastes like lemonade and. . .strawberry cheesecake.” “Is that an interesting combination?” “What do you mean?” “I’ve never had either.” “Oh.” She blinked. “Because you only like meat?” “Cheese and milk aren’t bad either.” “And the dragon punch.” She raised her arms and wrapped them around his neck. “Derrick said it’s your version of wine. But it’s not made from dragons. That was disappointing.”
