Turning Heads After Divorce

Turning Heads After Divorce

and Nick. Just then, a man about Nick's height approached her. He wore a black suit and a black heart-shaped mask, his target seeming very clear as he extended his hand and asked if she would share a dance with him. Marisol felt disappointed under her fox mask. It wasn't Nick. She had a strong feeling this was likely one of the men Emilia had arranged for her blind dates. She hadn't been particularly interested in dancing to begin with, and now she was even less interested. She gently shook her head and silently refused.

A Mask at the Wedding

A Mask at the Wedding

Elias, next to me, stood up straight and proud, like he was claiming his place. Noelle was shaking with anger as she looked at me. "Darcy, are you crazy! Do you know what you're doing?" Andrew rushed over too, whispering to me: "Darcy, don't be silly! Stop the wedding now!" I did not listen to them and passed the microphone to the person next to me. "Elias, tell everyone why you're here." Elias and I exchanged smiles, his voice calm and clear. "Today, I'm standing here because Howard gave me fifteen thousand dollars to pretend to be him at this wedding. "

THE MAFIA OBSESSION

THE MAFIA OBSESSION

Easy for him to say…He hadn't been the one she'd tried to manipulate into marriage…I accepted a glass of whisky from another waiter before retreating toward the edge of the ballroom. "Ladies and gentlemen... welcome to tonight's masquerade." The DJ shouted My eyes searched the crowd almost instinctively then I found her…Natalie. She lifted an emerald-green mask to her face before tying the ribbon neatly behind her head. I took another sip of whisky…then another as I watched her dance to the songs being played "You've been staring for the last five minutes." …Cassian murmured beside me, accepting a glass of champagne from a passing waiter.

Auctioned Bride Of The Cursed Alpha

Auctioned Bride Of The Cursed Alpha

The lights dimmed dramatically and gasps and whispers rose, grating on my nerves. I turned toward the glass wall, intending to step away for a smoke and clear my head, when Ivara’s scent grew stronger. I spun around. Wait a minute… Don’t tell me— I moved to the railing fast, overlooking the main floor just as the spotlights flared to life. There she was, blending in with the dancers. They were all masked, and dressed in near-identical provocative two pieces. My expression hardened instantly. “…What the hell is that?” There were two other white-haired dancers beside her, their masks and similar builds clearly meant to confuse, but I recognized her.

The Great Black King

The Great Black King

I got up and walked to the girl, stopping by her chair. "Elaine" I called her and my fingers brushed against her cheek "it’s okay, you won’t be seen like that, I promise you, okay? And... would it calm you down if I told you this was gonna be a masquerade?" Her eyes sparkled as she stared at me again. "Masks?" Smile. "Yes, a masquerade ball." "So... don’t you need to see my face?" "No." "And... can I still... learn to dance with you?" She asked and her voice now had a sly tone like that of a child who is afraid of getting a no.

Masquerade: His Forbidden Obsession

Masquerade: His Forbidden Obsession

As we walk into the full hall with people dancing, I have my arm looped around Ruggerio’s. Just like the first time I set foot in this room, I feel free and happy. As we descend the long stairs with the white balustrades, we already plan on which bar we are going to attack first, before settling in a cozy lounge. “Who knows if our room will still be available tonight?” Ruggerio grins at me and I shake my head, not able to contain my happy smile. We are wearing the same mask we wore the night we met. The only difference will be, that he will get to slip it off me by the end of the night. THE END

THE STERLING SPARK: LEGACY OF THE BEAST

THE STERLING SPARK: LEGACY OF THE BEAST

This was the annual Masquerade Gala, the one night a year where the monsters of the corporate world wore masks that finally matched their souls. I stepped onto the polished marble floor, my heels clicking with a rhythm that felt far too much like a countdown. Click. Click. Click. Every step was taking me further away from my old life and deeper into the mouth of the beast. My dress, a deep midnight blue that shimmered like a bruised sky, felt like armor. It was backless, draped low to show off the skin I had spent years caring for, all to serve as a distraction. The lace mask over my eyes was tight, the delicate patterns pressing into my skin, reminding me that tonight, Elena Sterling did n

Deadly Game With My Husband's Brothers

Deadly Game With My Husband's Brothers

If he can cheat, why can't I cheat? I slip my mask on and step into the bar. It's Halloween, but with a twist. It's a masquerade night. Everyone is masked, a sea of hidden faces swirling around me. They'd gone all out—a kaleidoscope of funny, try-too-hard-to-look-scary costumes. Fake blood, monstrous parodies, and towering wigs threatened to topple with every dance step. I'd chosen something simple, just the black mask. It felt like the perfect disguise, letting me blend into the shadows while still participating in the night's strange ritual.

ENSNARED THE ALPHA'S PET

ENSNARED THE ALPHA'S PET

Chapter 1 MAYA’S POV The smell of liquor and perfume permeated the air as I danced gracefully on the stage, trying my best to impress the lustful pairs of eyes that stared at me from below the stage. My short leather dress clung to my body like a second skin, complimenting my perky curves, and the lack of covering on my back gave the men a spectacle, revealing my bare back which glistened under the colourful stage lights like a pearl. I put on a sparkly mask, mainly for the upper part of my face.

My One and Only You

My One and Only You

Upon exiting the car, Dylan, Riki, Matt, and Joey immediately joined them. “Where is Clark?” Sasha asked. “He’s in the flat. He doesn’t want to take part in the masked dance.” Riki said. “Come on in, guys!” Ashlee shouted out of joy. The organizers’ configuration for the masked ball was different. The hallway resembles an old castle. There’s an extra red carpet. They also have a live band, but not their favorite PNE. Dylan and Gaby danced together. And because of masquerade balls, they’re wearing mascara. The boys were wearing formal; the girls were wearing dresses. It’s like having a big party at a palace full of princes and princesses.
