Daniel McIntyre listened intently, his expression unreadable.
Therese McIntyre, however, remained impassive, her eyes fixed on Brianna with unwavering intensity. When Brianna finished her story, she spoke, her voice laced with skepticism.
“So, you’re telling us that my son, a respected senator with a promising career, threw it all away for a stripper he met in a club?” she said, her tone dripping with disdain. “You expect us to believe that?”
Brianna’s cheeks flushed. “It’s the truth, Mrs. McIntyre,” she said, her voice rising slightly. “I know it sounds crazy, but it’s the truth. I never asked him to do any of this. He did it because he loved me.”
