Chapter 4. Private Session. Alex’s POV. I got to the gym right at 9:45, already kicking myself for showing up this late. The place felt empty as hell; just the AC running and some random weight clanging way in the back. I picked the last training slot because work kept me stuck till eight every damn night. Coach Marcus was the only one still around. Probably dumb on my part. He was waiting by the squat rack, arms crossed, looking massive like always. Tattoos all over, that tight black shirt stretched across his chest. His wife is eight months pregnant and everybody knows it. He drops her name sometimes like it’s a warning sign.

"Fine then let's reject Monika" .

Mike, his main caretaker tells him. "Thanks, I guess I'll just stay in for now. I've been pretty exhausted," Lian replied. Mike nodded and was about to leave when his radio turned on. He went out of the room for a while before coming back. "You have a visitor," Mike said. "Who is it?" "His name's Lyle, Lyle Moore," Mike said. Lian froze in his place when he heard that name. So many questions were running through his head. Why now? Why did he show up right now? Why just now?

A low, dangerous growl rumbled through Maverick’s chest as he lifted his head briefly toward the full moon. Around him, his warriors echoed the sound, their growls vibrating through the forest before they threw themselves back into the fight. “Monica… where are you?” Maverick mindlinked, his voice cold and searching. Monica was the daughter of a warrior Maverick had once trusted… before betrayal tore that trust apart. Maverick’s eyes darkened. How is she alive? The thought struck him even as he tore through another rogue, his claws slicing deep without hesitation as blood stained the ground beneath him.

Monica and I walk over to the clothes and look down at them. “Your man has taste, chicka, and its real Gucci,” she grins, nudging me. I blush, “He’s not my man,” “That’s not what you say when he’s deep inside you,” “Mona!” She throws her head back and laughs. “You are so annoying,” I groan and watch as she laughs.

"Name's Eve. How about you?" "Danika." "Pretty name," she says, blowing me a kiss. I wish I had even half of her confidence. "Thanks," I mumble. "Woah, look at that. Sick Mustang. Dang. Probably belongs to one of the students," she says, and I turn to look at what she was talking about. Memories flash in my head the instant I see it. It is black and extremely similar to Kaziel's. But he can't be here, right? There is absolutely no way I'd run into him in uni, right?

Monika was staring at Adira's pictures, which Damon gave her. She is so happy; she at least sees Adira; she even watches her short videos. Adira looks so happy, and Monika has tears in her eyes. She never met her daughter, but now seeing her in pictures and videos makes her happy. She knows Adira lives happily with Damon. Damon is such a sweet man.

Alex isn't even paying attention because he was setting up with Seth, and both of them were discussing some important things with Adom on the other side of the table. "Are you okay?" Monika asks, sitting next to her. Which gathers everyone's attention. Even Alex is staring at her now. She just nods and pushes her chair back so she can stand up and excuse herself to the restroom. "Yeah, I am sorry," she says, on the verge of tears. She cries in the bathroom. She knows everyone can hear her from the other room, but she can't help it. Her own mate doesn't even bother to come check on her.

Monika leaned on the bars of the glass window of her room, staring at the sunset. She could barely see the training grounds from there. She knew that Alexander was there. She knew Alexander's schedule. She knows everything about Alexander. She knew where he would go. She always knew that Alexander would spare some time for his beloved friend, no matter how busy he was. The news of her best friend's marriage devastated Monika. She knew very well that she would never be a Queen. But she was sad that all the adoration she received was now being given to someone else.

Monica huffed again, while everyone was gathering around to look at the show. Max was still standing with his back against his luxury car. He was Monica's boyfriend, but he couldn't help but give Sia a once over. She was beautiful and her curves her right in point. He licked his lips and folded his arms on his chest. Now the show was going to get more interesting. "How dare you pretend to be rich, in front of us?!" Monica hissed and poked a finger at Sia's shoulder. Sia frowned and looked down, where Monica has just poked a finger. She clenched her jaw and looked back up at Monica.
