Today is a Wednesday and I'm free tomorrow,I can make it. I continue to finish my routine for the day.

“Your mother sounds like an amazing woman.” “She is the absolute best.” Gabe answers without hesitation and Abby smiles. The fact that he loves his mother so much is kind of endearing to her. His mom does sound like she would be easy to love. Finally Abby is done, but now comes the hard part. After an awkward and demeaning struggle trying to clean herself and right her underwear, she flushes the toilet and moves over to the sink to wash her hands. Gabe turns to watch her as she tries to spread the bubbles as best she can, without being able to turn her hands.

Each step feels like a march toward reclaiming some part of myself. As I walk, I start to understand what people mean when they say they have to wash a man out of their hair. The metaphorical cleansing is real; it’s like shedding the weight of all the hurt and betrayal. After a thorough wash, I feel a bit freer, a bit lighter. No more worrying about Mike, no more wondering if he’s on Mabel or if Mabel is on top of him.

I had already gotten to the third chapter and figured I should go on with it if I wanted to sign off on the business deal with Giveon Ventures. After reading for one hour, I realized I had not heard Ma Cleopatra's voice after my parents and Ivy had left. I dropped the book and headed downstairs to search for Ma Cleopatra. I found her cleaning up the dishes and moved forward to ask what I was having for dinner.

I'm in the bathroom cleaning my dress which I was glad was dark red in colour; if not, the colour of the drink would have been visible to everyone and all of them will surely want to know what happened. I take a few tissues, wet them with water and clean it; it really cleaned it up well as once I was done, I couldn't see the colour of the drink anymore. I dry the wet spot with the hand dryer and look at the mirror for the last time before leaving the bathroom, not expecting to see a particular person outside of the bathroom waiting for me......
