Meaningful Verses Novels & Stories

In the bible, it says in James 1:21 (King James Version) "Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls." Engrafted means to insert or fix (something) permanently to something else. The Non-Russians at Mary's Church still kill Russians & disobey God's words. They are lukewarm Christians. They are lukewarm of the worst kind. In the Bible, it says in Revelation 3:16 (KJV)

He took out his bible and read a passage there. "Psalm 82:1-5: 1 God has taken his place in the divine council; in the midst of the gods he holds judgment: 2 'How long will you judge unjustly and show partiality to the wicked? 3 Give justice to the weak and the fatherless; maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute. 4 Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.' 5 They have neither knowledge nor understanding, they walk about in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are shaken."

“What the hell am I meant to do with this?” The monk’s eyes burned with irritation at his swear word and Eli gulped, whispering an apology. Turning away from him for a moment, he returned with a large bible and plopped it on the desk. “Open the book of proverbs chapter 30, verse 8. And read it aloud.” It took a moment for Eli to find it, but when he did, he cleared his throat and croaked. “‘Keep falsehood and lies far from me; give me neither povery nor riches, but give me only my daily bread.”

Aside from that, there's no harm in trying. I took out my phone and opened the bible app that came with it, and to my amazement, Mister Handsome was correct. "Proverbs 4:25 says, 'Let your eyes be straight ahead; fix your gaze directly ahead of you.'" The bible chapters from Proverbs were exalted. I suddenly recall something, and things start to make sense to my ear. "Wait! "I thought it was a romantic way of saying sorry?" I asked. "Well. As you can see, the Bible is chock-full of surprises." Mister handsome remarked, smiling.

MARY’S POV "The spiritual man judges all things, yet he himself is judged of no man." (1 Corinthians 2:15) The air in the room was thick with the scent of cheap air freshener and disinfectant; the heat of five bodies packed into a space meant for two hung in the air. I sat at the head of the circle, my Bible open to the Book of Proverbs. My phone vibrated continuously inside my denim skirt pocket.

Gratitude for the wisdom that taught us to see meaning in both struggle and ease. This chapter emphasizes the subtle power of ordinary moments. The culmination of life’s work is often invisible to the outside world. It is in quiet breakfasts, late-night conversations, hands held across familiar spaces, unspoken understanding in shared glances. This is the life that matters—not the life that is celebrated publicly.

Eli There are so many three-word sentences in the English dictionary that bring meaning to life. I love you. I miss you. I admire you. Please be well. I have never really given it a thought. But those are the exact words that I have never really taken the time to truly mean something to me. And as much as I would want to hear those from someone, I believe being the one to tell those words to someone actually gives more meaning to one's life. I believe it makes life more beautiful, on top of being meaningful.
