She knew the scent before she even opened the box—it was her mother’s recipe. Her eyes narrowed. There was no way he could’ve known that. Not unless… She stepped into the hallway and glanced down the corridor, heart starting to pound just slightly. Her eyes scanned the flood of bodies—interns in scrubs, gurneys rolling past, a code blue being paged overhead. And then, through the shifting crowd, she saw a mysterious man. He stood halfway down the corridor, half-hidden behind a group of surgical residents chatting near the elevators. His face was obscured by a black KN95, and a baseball cap sat low on his brow, but even through the layers, something about his presence felt… familiar.

“I want you to ransack her bag and bring whatever you find there.” Immediately Drey nodded and left my office. I moved to my laptop, typing in some things. Long time ago, I had installed camera's st tge gate of the Moon Blood Pack. I wanted to know everything going on with my uncle. With this new discovery, I zoom in to the camera at the mansion. There were numerous cars driving out of the mansion. I frowned. Whatever was going on, my uncle was up to something.

But nothing seemed to match the symbol on my door. Frustrated, I leaned back in my chair, rubbing my temples. There had to be something here, some clue that I was missing. I glanced at the stack of books beside me, my eyes landing on one that looked older and more worn than the others. Its leather cover was cracked and faded, the title barely legible: *The Mysteries of Silverwood.* I pulled the book closer and opened it carefully. The pages were brittle, the text handwritten in an elegant script. As I flipped through the pages, a passage caught my eye:

He couldn’t just tell me he loved me—he had to make it some mystery. I push back from my desk, tension coiling out of me like smoke. Fine. If he wants a reaction, he’s not going to get one from me. I grab my travel mug and head to the small kitchenette in the corner, filling it with water, pouring black coffee grounds into the filter. As the machine hums, I let out a long sigh, the bitter aroma a small comfort in the chaos of my thoughts. The quiet is broken by a familiar voice. “Hey! Come look at this!”

After meeting some old lady at a river who tells me to make three wishes that may or may not come true, I wonder what else life has in store for me. "So you say you're not new to New York city, right?" demands the driver for the second time. "No. I literally grew up here." "Means you were born here?" "Means I was." He nods, like this is the answer he's been expecting. "Nice." "Well, I'm from somewhere else." "Where is that?" "Illinois. In Chicago. Grew up in Little Italy. Where the mafia bosses terrorized those neighborhoods. That's where they get those crazy and scary nicknames from. Some called themselves The Prince. Scorpion, The Twister.."

At least far more interesting than the story I heard yesterday at the antique auction, is this one, I thought. I became uneasy when he described how two werewolves broke their fated mate promise and unleashed a terrible calamity. The narrative was too visceral and realistic. Every time I hear the story, it seems to tighten my heart, so I don't want to listen to it anymore. It felt odd, as though I had also lived through the same narrative. She continued, "And it all began with the Grimoire." "Grimoire?" I asked, intrigued. This Grimoire seemed to be at the center of all the odd occurrences.

As soon as morning broke and light filled her room’s balcony, she quickly packed her bag and slipped out of the palace before she could run into Ryan again. She got into her car—a Ferrari that Mr. Myers had given her as a gift—and drove away calmly and steadily, in complete contrast to her heart, which felt like it was about to explode from fear. The moment she passed the palace walls, she let out a deep breath of relief, not realizing she had been holding it the whole time. The long drive gave her enough time to gather her scattered thoughts. She reached New York before noon, and the first place her feet took her was Adam’s workshop—her childhood friend and keeper of all her secrets.

Then I got back to my research again browsing through criminal cases described in news articles and web forums. An hour passed and I was tired of reading bloody stories that got me nowhere near something I could use in the novel, so I began to grumble on one of the mystery-crime forums. “Help me out. Have you heard of any interesting murder case nowadays? I swear, I’m not a psycho, I’m a writer begging for an inspiration,” I hoped that sounded convincing enough. No one was answering. I’d waited for an hour and got little bit frustrated. I was about to get back to my previous way of research but then someone replied.
