Zara gulped hard “it was really true, she looked totally confused, she doesn’t remember or know anything, she just looked like a helpless child whom is still learning how to speak and walk.” Zara held her hand “that is the truth, you don’t belong to that world out there, come back home with us and we would resolve all these.” Melanie shook her head “you all are making a big mistake, I assure you, you are making a mistake” she laughed softly hoping someone could just wake her up from the horrible dream she was having at that moment.

Riker’s lips tightened, but he said nothing more, his gaze fixed on Maxine with a mix of admiration and wariness. Maxine turned to me then, her gaze softening just a fraction as she spoke with me in private. Mel reminded herself that her name, "Mel," was a shortened version of various names, leaving room for mistaken assumptions. It was possible that Ethan had simply guessed and used the name "Melanie" without any deeper intention.

Melanie wiped the bar while talking to Jade, "I need money lately, so I want to take on two jobs." At this point, Jade fell silent. Melanie's family conditions weren't good, but she was a top student. She originally wanted to study design, but her family didn't agree and forced her to study medicine. The reason was that she still had a younger brother at home, and the money she earned from being a doctor in the future could support her brother's education.
