The two men from outside my house were standing before me, looking casual as they addressed me. “We've been looking for you for a while now,” the older one said, pulling himself off a tree he was leaning on. The sun just started to peek above the mountains, illuminating the two men in front of me in orange highlights. The younger man also moved from his position and joined the older man standing in front of me. “I say we kill her, boss.” My body shook in terror at the causal tone he used to say the most terrifying phrase known. The older man sneered, showing off a pair of sharpened canines.

At the mention of Dante, the two men knew that they had to leave, or they would be roasted for wasting his time by talking to her. “We are leaving; you can have breakfast with him. We will schedule ours another time; you can call us later.” Rider shoved a card into her hand. “We also have a gamers club; hit me up, and you will be invited.” Before she could open her lips to respond, the men were already gone. “What the hell happened?” She inquired. “What's up with them?” “Don't you know who your voter is?” He crooked his head to the side. “He is Dante Volkov, the most dangerous man in the world. There was a man there in the doorway. Jake relaxed, somehow a man seemed less terrifying than one of those hell beasts. “I hate to wake you but I am afraid my idiot associate brought me the wrong briefcase.” The figure came closer. We was well dressed, every hair in place, but his eyes seemed to glow orange.

“Let me walk you out. I’ll come to fetch you at six tomorrow morning. Then you can watch us train. Is that okay?” “Uh… Yeah, I guess.” I followed him down the stairs to the front door. My mind was ready to go nuclear, trying to process what the fuck just happened. The door opened, and a bunch of rowdy, shirtless men entered. They laughed and shoved each other playfully. Their laughter momentarily stopped when they saw me. My eyes bugged out of my head because damn, all five of them looked like they belonged on the pages of Men’s Health or a fireman’s almanac for 2024. Christmas Edition.
