Mermaid Species Novels & Stories

I frown at the mistake. "You know, in some myths mermaids are not human sized. Their actually the size of whales and that's probably why we've never seen them before because they stay deeper in the ocean to be able to use their size to their advantage. Which would make your drawing perfectly accurate." She explains. She is so nice. "That is so cool." I say.

Her dark eyes follow my hands as I pluck a piece of sushi from the tray at the center of the table, “I still can’t believe you’re eating that.” Kiera and I had a long conversation about the fact that mermaids’ main food source in the ocean is fish, but she continues to insist it’s some form of cannibalism. I snort with laughter, but before I can respond to her, a sneering voice sounds behind me. “Well if it isn’t the bottom feeder and the boyfriend stealer.”

If she didn't release her breath soon, she would drown. Then something moved and caught her attention. No not something. Creatures. Serena stared at them as they swam towards her. A part of her thought it was the lack of air that was making her see things. One swam close to her and her eyes widened. Mer creatures! Legion of mermaids and mermen, swimming around her, coming close to her and swimming away again. Their scales glittered even in the dimness, bright blue, silver, purple and numerous other colours. They had long scaly tails, beautified with different designs. The tails looked delicate but Serena knew better. The tail of a mermaid was so sharp it could cut through a hard rock. This w

"I don't care, I just know that fish that ran aground made a mistake." At this point, the mermaid looked at Brawen, who screamed, "What harm did I do? Mermaids like me don't live in the sea, if they don't eat energy from the sea, they have to eat the energy of other species. Blame me for what? Aren't you vampires bringing me here? The people who caused the trouble before also said." Mermaids have a mermaid language, which Julie of course doesn't understand.

He curiously asked. "While Mermaids are the only other species that has a ruler, we're a species of being that like to keep to ourselves, as well as the fact that there aren't as many of us as there are the others. The big three regularly meet up for meetings, the mermaids stick to their own business." "Oh, I see."

It might be possible after all. “I’ll swim us over, but you have to go up and take some food for me. I don’t know how to get onto the boat.” The mafia boss looked at the tail flopping excitedly and agreed. The mermaid had a rather childlike taste when it came to food. However, he could understand why she liked sweets. According to Aqua, mermaids often ate seaweed and fish. It wasn’t the most appealing diet, and Dawn did not consider jellyfish to be a good snack.

Stacy's eyes widened as if she had just been told there was an extra season of firefly, “There are eleven species,” Drake laughed, not in amusement but in bewilderment, “Demons, Valkyrie, Succubi, Incubi, Wolves, Bears, Eagles, Dragons, Panthers, Wolves, Vampires,” Drake paused for effect, “Hippogriff and Merfolk, thirteen in all, well thirteen original, we all know there are other subspecies out there.” The Wolf, Demon and Panther shared the look of awe while Ellie sighed, “The last two haven't been heard from in hundreds of years but they are very much alive, how is it that Mal doesn't remember them I wonder?”

13-15 Mermaid....15-20 River Nymph...21-22 River nymph only had a couple pages, same as Leviathan. I had heard of that before, and it made me uneasy to think as little was known about river nymphs as a leviathan. I opened the pages, flipping through them. I could see hand drawings of several types of beasts, some fish shaped, some with tentacles and multiple heads. I was surprised when I got to page twenty-one and saw no drawings.

“I’m so sorry. I didn’t… He shushed me up and turned off the lights of the submarine. I didn’t breathe because I was scared. There was complete darkness. I thought the creature wouldn’t see us because of the dark but I was wrong. Suddenly, everywhere lighted up. That’s when we both realized that this creature was nothing ordinary “It’s a mermalia frother.” That sounded scary. “Why do they call it that? “It serves only mermaids. They release foam from their mouth that contains enzymes which eat everything in sight. “Everything or anything? “Both. I faced the mermalia frother. It was a yellow layered beast that had the shape of a sea horse but the teeth of a white shark. It had a purple crown
