“I will turn your overwhelming memories to foam. These foams, once they regain their own awareness, will become mermaids ruled by the Mermaid Queen. Once all of these memories become mermaids, the human named Ruth will become a full-fledged Mermaid Queen.” I feel a pang of fear and confusion as the god’s words sink in. My memories turning to foams? Becoming a mermaid ruled by this woman I barely know? But before I can protest, the god’s hand begins to glow again, and a sharp pain shoots through my head.

Hera came crying and apologizing. "I forgive you Hera. Now please stop crying and update me." I sighed, I wasn't in a mood to hear any sorry's and missed you's. "Are you sure you wanna know?" she asked. "Of course, what do you mean by that? I'd surely want to know what's happening behind my back." I exclaimed. Liam and Hera went on saying about how they had..no, Ethan had promoted her to be beta and to my surprise proposed her to be the future Luna in front of our whole pack.

"We need them gone." She nods in understanding. "Gails and Devon are coming with Travis and this," She pauses and flashes me a devilish smile, "is Radiance." Damn, she noticed the way I looked at her. Radiance is beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. Her hair is long and flowing; a fierce color of orange/red. Her tail matches her hair perfectly. A bright orange tail with the tips of her fins are a beautiful ruby red. She has big, round, emerald green eyes surrounded by thick eye lashes. She shyly smiles a small smile to me and then darts her eyes down. Clearly humbled to be in my presence. "Thank you for assisting us today Radiance. I apologize for it being so early in the morning." I growled. Lauren laughed. I frowned at her. “What’s so funny?” I asked, my annoyance growing. “How is it possible to fall in love with two versions of the same woman?” “I am not in love with this Meridian. I don’t fall for demons.” I hissed, my voice cold and sharp. “If I could, I’d kill her and end this right now.” “Even if she became Mel again?” She asked the question, but before I could answer, Meridian stepped into the clearing, walking beside Eden.

(RHEA'S POV - IN ATLAS' BODY) As I surrendered to the transformation, my heart skipped a beat. It was as if I was slipping away from consciousness, but Atlas was there, his voice a steady anchor in the whirlwind of change. “Atlas, I can’t,” I managed to gasp. “Breathe, slowly,” he urged. “Let your consciousness flow like a calm stream as you blend with your wolf.” Following his guidance, the shift became smoother with each passing moment. I took a deep breath, gradually letting go of my fears. I embraced the bond, feeling Starlight’s strength and presence merge with my own. The transformation began, and this time, it felt natural, powerful, and complete.

I couldn't believe this asshole once betrayed me. “I'm back alive!!” I heard a voice behind me. I jolted away from Alex, gasping with my hand flying to my chest. There was a mermaid sitting in one of the puddles with a smile on her face. She stared at her hands in adoration. “Did you put my scales in here?" She asked, smiling at me. I nodded reluctantly. "Y-yes,”I whispered, watching her tail change into legs. I turned to look away as she was naked. Alex gave her his jacket to wear.

"I'm the chosen one, and I haven't forgotten my quest. If the mer king fancies me, then so be it. Keep your concerns to yourself!" She turned and walked towards the maidens, letting them take her away to tend to her. Xavier stared after his sister, his hand still on his face. Something wasn't right. Serena had changed instantly from her usual self to something different. Was this the mer creatures magic? He knew his sister would never condone another man's advances, let alone raise her hand to hit him. And yet, she did both before his eyes. Something had possessed Serena, and it started the moment they passed through the shield surrounding the castle.

He laid back with his eyes closed. I backed away from him and exited the room for air. It no longer mattered that this place smelt awful. I just needed some distance between us. "Are you okay?" The mermaid came after me. No, I wasn't. Could anyone be? I raked my fingers through my hair. "Do you know what's happening to him?" Craig said something about a transformation. By the look of Alex, it had to mean he was turning into a merman. She nibbled her fingernail. "I've never seen anything like that before. He's turning into a merman. No human can… I don't know what's going on."

However, it wasn’t the same for Dawn, who had just ingested a mermaid’s scale. “Move back,” Melvin commanded, eyes glowing amber. “It’s up to him to accept or reject your scale now. If your love is true, he can join you in the ocean after his transformation. If he doesn’t love you back, I must kill him before he transforms into a monster.” Shoving the reluctant mermaid aside, Melvin pinned Dawn down using his superior strength when the man started struggling. The transformation had begun. Still recovering from the damage of ripping her heart scale out, Aqua wanted to fight Melvin when she heard a car stopping in the distance. That must be Jericho!

Daniel smiled. They waited for what felt like forever and Jasper's legs still didn’t transform. “Why I’m I not transforming”. Jasper sounded disappointed. “I think what your dad said is true… that part of you is dead”. Alec said coming to stand beside Jasper. He had transformed into a merman, his torques tail glittering in the waters. “I don’t believe it… what can I do to awaken it”. Jasper asked. “We don’t have the answers, when we get to Asteria we would possibly get answers”. Alex said.
