I still just hoped for nothing to go wrong. We were in the dorms getting ready. My costume was a baby pink coat with matching trousers and a white T-shirt with a pair of sneakers, as I was a host as well. Later in the programme I was going to change into a puffy net grey coloured mid length skirt with a black button front crop Cami top. I didn’t really care about the skirt but the top was heavenly. It would make a splendid outfit when paired with my brown jeans and boots. But well on a whole, both of my outfits were just gorgeous. My makeup was done and I was looking for my hairpin and also at myself in the mirror (yes, I couldn’t stop, I looked really good) when I heard a knock on the door.

Grown ups wouldn’t always be around to protect them. Oliver tries his best to discourage me from going for the Halloween party. He states thousand of reason not to go. “You will just humiliate yourself in a ridiculous costume.” He tells me. “You don’t have to come, you know.” I chuckle, standing in the mirror, adjusting my tie. I’ve decided to dress as a mafia boss. It’s a costume. I can’t be seen dressing as a werewolf or vampire, or anything else. That will be insulting. I wear a black suit, black tie and black shoes. I cream my curly black hair to be really shiny and neat. I wear my favorite perfume.

Then it opens—because of course privacy is a myth in this mansion of monsters. A maid slips in, holding a black hanger like it’s a bomb. No doubt, it’s expensive. And made of fabric. My eyes squint at the tiny, black, and aggressively illegal dress. She holds it up. “You’re to shower, get dressed, and be ready within the hour. Mr. Holt is sending someone to do your hair and makeup.” I blink at her. “The hell is this? Funeral attire for my dignity?” Her expression doesn’t flicker. “No, ma’am. It’s your dress for the evening.”

It wasn't until the clock read seven-thirty, marking Harrison fifteen minutes late to collect her, that her spirit dipped back into the shadows. Since they were headed to a high-ranking tavern in the Old Quarter, she had armored herself in a sleek black silk dress—one of the most loathed skins in her collection. It was hard to believe she was willingly donning such a pelt for this male, but if that was what it took to pull his gaze back to her, then by the Moon, she would do it. But when said male was pushing thirty minutes late, Maddie wasn't sure the effort was worth the hunt. Swallowing her pride, she reached for her stone.

I had bought my costume a few days ago, while Sam dressed up as a Necromancer. We both went to the school and saw different people in scary costumes. I could feel it was going to be a scary night. A few minutes after everyone had different conversations and complimented each other's costume, a guy stepped up.

She presents it to me and my blood grows cold. They’re exotic clothes. A red belly dancing costume consisting of a rhinestone studded bralette and a sheer lace long skirt with slits on both sides. The outfit is so see-through that it’ll leave nothing to the imagination. And she wants me to wear it and…….

"I can't believe I let you talk me into this," Jax grumbled, adjusting the sleeves of his billowing white shirt. I had to admit, Jax in a pirate costume was way more sexy than I had even anticipated. "It's Halloween next weekend," I defended, "and we don't have costumes! I'm usually very prepared." I reached up, adjusting my pirate hat. the costume itself was easy to get into so far, but I still had to put on the corset.

She whispered, “Mr. Crawford, I know you’re not fond of festivities, but could you at least check the bag? Liam chose a costume from his favorite movie, ‘Mary Poppins,’ just for you. Retreating to my room, I inspected the simple costume: black pants, a grey dress shirt, a black undercoat, a red scarf, and a grey ivy cap. The quality wasn't top-notch, but it would do. An elderly black woman with close-cropped curly white hair sighed in response as she looked down at her adopted granddaughter. “Jeannine LaRue, you’re the one who begged me to have a costume party for your birthday in the middle of summer, Lord have mercy.”
