My heart was thundering with anxiety by the time we walked out of the elevator and I'd begun to doubt if I could pull off the act of being his girlfriend the closer we got to the ward his father was. Then he stopped at a door and opened it and he held onto my wrist again before we both walked into the room to see an older man who looked just like him lying in the bed. “Hey dad, how are you doing?” He greeted him while we both stood at the foot of the bed and his father smiled at him before fixing his golden eyes on me.
