Renee was stunned, utterly unable to comprehend what was unfolding. Adrian held onto the serpent’s tail and swung it around as though it weighed nothing. Boom! The earth trembled as the enormous serpent was hurled into a nearby mountain with devastating force. "How is he doing this? How can his physical strength be so terrifying?" Renee muttered. “You should try and practice using your magic. We need to see the extent of the damage.” “I feel fine, I’ve been feeling fine for a while now.” “Cordelia.” I sighed, rolling my eyes. She always called my name in that no nonsense tone when she wanted to have her way. “Fine.” “Practice in the garden.” Morgana ordered as I stood up to follow Maria. “Last time you burned the carpet in the magic room.” She gave me a pointed look, “The Persian carpet, pretty expensive might I add.” Both Maria and I raised an eyebrow at her, but we both headed out. “Now, I want you to try simple growth spell.” She pointed at the lemongrass, “Start with this.”

Finrir paused for a moment, building suspense, "was Jormungandr, the mighty serpent, destined to grow into the most colossal creature to roam the oceans of our world." With an aura of mystery, Finrir recounted the events leading up to Jormungandr's exile to the depths of Aqualearia. "As the great serpent grew larger with each passing day, the merfolk foresaw the potential danger it posed to Midgard, the land of the bi-peddled-folk. In their wisdom, they decided to cast Jormungandr into the vast expanses of the ocean, where it could live safely and fulfill its destiny as the guardian of all Aqualearia."

A great serpent appeared, it’s length unaccounted for, it’s color green, it’s mouth glistened with red and green liquid, a terrible sight. “A beast!” Zephyr immediately started to run. The beast was named Emerald Serpent, although it was a tier one beast, it’s strength was amazing, and very venomous. Just a drop was enough to kill a man. Moreover, the Serpent had iron-like scales. Unless the opponent was an Agility fighter, no one had any chance against it. The thought of the Serpent’s power only hastened Zephyr’s Lightfoot.

' 'You can't get such a promise from me, am afraid. 'No, Mara. Don't say such a thing. Why won't you try to understand? Why can't you just give us the chance, just a trial?' 'But have you heard the story about how many mighty men have fallen before the serpent? Has no one yet told you how frightful it really is? Haven't you heard about the fact that it has seven heads?' 'I have heard all those things, Maai. I have even found in the book of chronicles, since I knew about the matter, the names of those men who lost their lives in an adventure with the serpent. I have also seen its seven heads once.’

Well, putting away all of that aside, Natasha had hit the shower and put on a fresh pair of blue jeans with a pink top and a white sweater before getting into white sneakers. She let her blond hair rest above her shoulders as she grabbed a bag and put something in a sort of cage right next to her closet. "Come on out, V," she started after setting down what she had put at the base of the cage. A moment later, something slithered out from a dark corner of the cage. A snake;a green viper to be exact. Taika had given her the snake when she and her mother had gone on a visit to Hawaii, where she had learnt was her birth place.

Again the Little Men made medicine and changed one man into the great Uktena, the water serpent, and another into a rattlesnake. As before, the serpents had instructions to kill the old sun when she stopped at her daughter's house. Uktena was large and fierce, with horns on his head, and everyone thought he would be sure to succeed. But the rattlesnake was so eager that he raced ahead and coiled up just outside the house. When the sun's daughter opened the door to look for her mother, he struck, and she fell dead in the doorway.

Seeing the shadow begin to grow in size and shape, Rex recognised it immediately, ‘Glad for the assistance Marcia.’ Once Fafnir saw the skylark being ridden by Marcia ascending over the top of the lava beetle, he roared, “Flip the beast over quickly, we must kill it and return to dispatch Telagus!”

Something Sebastian suspected I had caused. Though he hadn’t yet explained to me how. And I certainly have no idea. I didn’t feel like I’d controlled anything. Then I’d found out that Mardichi and Deragan were not just wolves. They’re dragons. Which appeared to be a giant serpent with teeth like some water beasts I’d once seen. And now I was here. I looked around slowly. Shielding my eyes with one hand, I saw nothing but an empty plane for a long distance. Broken by the span of trees far in the distance.

"And we're just going to whip up a spell, is that it? As if it were a recipe for banana bread? Are you sure there are such ingredients exist in our world?" Then they heard a papery sound coming from the wingless serpent, who was wiggling her way out of a mountain of gold coins. They went to her. "Gentle ladies...I cannot help you. But"— the serpent looked up at them pleadingly — "there is something you should have." The creature pulled out a crown set with walnut-sized diamonds. "Oh no, not this one..." the serpent said then dived back into the pile headfirst and emerged with what looked like a gem-encased staff or scepter. "Not this one either—ah there it is."
