Midnight Mha Novels & Stories

Maya’s POV Midnight is rude. It removes logic. It removes fear. It removes clothing in your imagination before you can stop it. And unfortunately, my imagination has a favorite victim. My next door neighbor is tall, unfairly attractive, and has the kind of voice that could convince a nun to sin without even raising his tine My name is Maya Collins. I am nineteen. I am supposed to be focused on saving my family business, finishing university, and behaving like a responsible adult.

I replied with a roll of my eyes. Alpha Cadell held a ball in his very fancy, and extremely huge, mansion. He said it was a celebration for his arrival at the new town. I was sure it wasn't only that. "Just keep your manners. We will be in and out before you even know it." Morgana stressed, and nodded her head at some woman with a winged face mask. Did I mention that this is a masquerade? We live in Midwick, Virginia. A very small and very beautiful town, which one would feel was built right in the middle of the woods.

Lucky. I headed to take a shower, thank god! It is not freezing. Apparently, I am paired with a loaded roommate. She made sure we will always have hot water for showers. I am currently in university because of my scholarship. It is one of the best schools in LA California, my hometown is not far from here. It takes a two-hour and thirty-minute drive to get back home. After taking a shower I checked my phone for any messages or new notifications. I received a text from mama:

He turned to Robbie. "Well, we've got one piece of the puzzle then. I need you to work on the other. Take the three M's," he said, motioning to the lycanthrope siblings of Mindy, Michael and Matthew, "Chris, and Lothar, and go find the Raptors. Take Arthur too, just in case SOMEONE," he added pointedly, looking at Robbie, "gets himself hurt. Enlist their help, and bring us back the Heaven's Eye. Nathaniel, I want you to do scavenging duty. We're going to need the basics for setting up a new base, as well as food and the like. You're a sweet talker, so get what you can and steal the rest. Talia, I want you and Shield to find us a new place to live. The slaughterhouse is location number one, b

I shook my head, too confused to speak. “Because the last time a lunar eclipse appeared here, something extraordinary happened. A bond formed between two wolves, marked by the moon herself. We call it "Midnight's Mark". It has not appeared in one hundred and twenty-three years. Most think it’s legend, but I saw it when I was young.” My mouth felt dry. “What kind of bond?” “The truest kind, a mate bond chosen by the Moon Goddess herself, marked on the skin at the eclipse’s peak. Those who bear it are destined for each other, their souls matched perfectly. Such bonds appear only when the pack needs them most.”

MIA I fled from my own engagement party one hour ago and now I'm hiding in a locked university at midnight. The gym smelled like sweat and old leather and something I couldn’t name. It made my skin prickle with awareness I wasn’t in the mood to examine. The university athletic complex should have been locked, but I’d learned three days into my transfer that if you knew which side door to use and were willing to slip through shadows like a thief in the night, you could have the basketball court to yourself when the rest of campus slept.

“Nope. I’ll do that later. I’m dying to know what I do now.” Midnight blinked. “All right.” Jessie locked the door and pocketed the key. She followed Midnight to the Jeep. The officer at the gate stopped them with a deep frown. “Is something wrong?” Midnight shrugged. “She said she’d look at it later. She wants to go to work.” He reached over and punched in a code to open the electric gate. “Have a good day.” The Medical Center was located near the front gates. It was a single-story building

When the party ended, it was nearly midnight. Everyone was in a delightful mood, having a great time. It was half an hour's drive to reach the house. They decided to have midnight snacks at one of the famous restaurants in the area. They ordered pad thai, chai latte, cafe mocha and empanadas.

Midnight came with the sound of rain. The Crescent Moon facility sat on Harbor Street like a monument to the dead a warehouse converted into something that pretended to be a medical facility but looked more like a mausoleum. Steel walls. No windows. A single entrance that was currently wide open, light spilling out onto the wet pavement like an invitation written in blood.

I smiled at her and we went on to sign the contract as I made my down payment. It's been four days since I got that threat from Monica and her groupies, safe to say I found a place within budget, a 20-minute walk to the university, and offers free WiFi as well. It’s the mini hostel called Moonlight Haven, a very weird name but who am I to complain? I have decided to move in tomorrow. I just hope I can cope with Monica for one more night.
