Novel & Cerita Midnight Riders Motorcycle Club

Agatha was with Mickey, staying past dismissal to clean PERSEPHONE-11 while Isa took a nap in the corner. At 6:31, no visible sunlight in the sky remained aside from the faded twinkle of the stars and the occasional blink of flight-crafts. The Midnight Club made a rendezvous on the 7-11 a block away from Van Duke. Dean was there first, carrying a knapsack that contained two bottles of pink gin and a stack of disposable cups. Gwyneth came five minutes after, then Mickey, then Isaac, then Agatha, and Isa. “Yes, we’re fucking rulebreakers that’s what we are,” Dean laughed.

Chapter Twenty-Four That night, the motorcycle club set up camp deep inside the dark woods right beside a quiet, wide river. The water moved slowly, reflecting the pale light of the stars above. After the massive, violent chaos of the morning confrontation and the long, exhausting hours of riding down the black asphalt highway, every single person in the formation was completely spent.

Damien Blackwood I pushed through the hotel’s revolving doors and into the sharp morning light, the city’s energy already humming around me like a well-oiled machine. There, at the curb, waited the familiar black sedan, polished to a mirror finish. Austin stood beside it, ever reliable, holding the rear door open with the quiet precision that defined him. He had been with me longer than most, a man in his mid-fifties whose calm demeanor and sharp mind had proven invaluable through countless crises. I gave him a brief nod and slid into the cool leather interior. The door shut with a solid, satisfying click, sealing off the outside world.

; I was just a wolf in motion. Then, the music cut. The lights went into a frantic, blinding strobe. The dance floor descended into the "Midnight Ritual"—a tradition where the lights stayed low for three minutes of anonymous indulgence. Through a flash of a strobe light, I thought I saw a tall silhouette—Andrew—leaning over Serena. I thought I saw her reaching up on her tiptoes to meet him. The lights went black. A wave of nausea and grief washed over me. I stood there, paralyzed in the dark, surrounded by the sounds of a hundred people losing themselves.

I'd been so careful for months, and now everything was ruined in one moment of mechanical failure. Then I heard the sound that made my blood run cold, the deep rumble of multiple motorcycles approaching. Heavy bikes. Harleys, from the sound of them. The crowd parted like the Red Sea as five riders rolled into the circle of light cast by the spectators' headlights. The lead rider dismounted with predatory grace. Even in the dim light, I recognized him. Everyone in Coldwater knew Dax Steele. Six-foot-three of leather-clad muscle, dark hair pulled back in a knot, and eyes that could cut through steel. The Vice President of the Iron Wolves Motorcycle Club.

"What you don't know is the Wraiths." Brianne's motorcycle club had been running cover for her hidden, unregistered pack for three years — human towns, shifter territory, nobody asking questions a badge would ask, nobody clocking a dozen bikers running escort as anything but exactly what it looked like. MCs didn't answer to council law. That was the beauty of it. "They ride escort," Elizabeth said. "Every drop Josiah documents, the Wraiths shadow at a distance. Anything goes wrong, they're already there. Off the books. Untraceable back to us."

The flashing light was hitting my eyes, yet it was a good distraction not to think of anything. Just what I need. A little rebellious night won’t hurt, right? The Pulse, a family-friend-owned nightclub, was brimming with wild people, dancing and grinding on the dancefloor and I can already see a glimpse of myself being one of them once I filled myself with alcohol.

By the time night began to fall, the passengers had gotten off one after another. The construction site was the final stop, so only Edward's four coworkers and I were left on the bus. They seemed worn out from the long ride, too. One by one, they leaned back in their seats and started dozing off. I closed my eyes as well, planning to rest for a bit so I'd have the energy to squeeze Edward dry when we arrived. I had no idea how much time had passed when I faintly heard the men's voices.

She opened her mouth to scream when the sound of motorcycle engines roared down the street. Six bikes appeared from around the corner moving fast. They weren't Vipers. The engines sounded different. More expensive. The bikes pulled up in a half circle around Maya and the three men and suddenly the air felt different. Heavier. The riders killed their engines and the silence that followed was worse than the noise. They climbed off their bikes and Maya saw their vests. Iron Wolves MC. She didn't know if that was better or worse than the Vipers. One of them walked forward and the others followed. He was tall with dark hair and the kind of face that probably got him anything he wanted. His leathe

He was so fast that I tightened my grip, resting my head against his back. A smile curved my lips as I felt safe and secure in his presence. This was the life I had always wanted—a life where I didn’t have to fear whether I would survive until the next day. Soon, he pulled into the parking lot of a high-end clubhouse with a glittering sign that read The Blue Mooners Clubhouse. Over a hundred bikes were parked there, belonging to customers. Aldrich parked, took my hand, and led me inside. Evander, Lilith, and the rest of the bikers followed behind us.
