I removed the papers that were inside the file, and what came out of the file were not only papers but some pictures. Pictures of Mr Mike abusing women, and the other pictures showed him receiving bribes from some individuals. “Mr Mike, you are fond of abusing women for your pleasure. I wonder what your wife is going to say about this when she finds out your little dark secret. And, you are responsible for receiving bribes and selling out information concerning Glems' company to outsiders”. My father said before he slammed his hands on the table and instantly, Mr Mike fell to his knees and began to plead and ask for mercy.

His mind went to the files he had brought to the mansion this morning, and he felt his temples throb. ‘He could already tell there was a raging storm over this seemingly perfect paradise. The boss's past and the truth about the madam's roots were like a dark cloud hovering over the happy couple.' Mike stared at his phone screen and didn't know if he should interrupt the happy couple. He had just received a message from Mr. Felix Morgan; he was about to board a plane bound for Manhattan, and Mike knew Mr. Felix being in Manhattan might complicate things.

Mike answered. ​"Going back home to LA, or...?" ​"Heading to New York for a few weeks," he said, adjusting his watch. "Got a couple of sponsor meetings lined up." ​"Nice," I murmured. I hesitated for a second, a mischievous glint touching my eyes as I leaned in slightly. "So... how's your love life these days, Weller? Anyone special?" ​Mike let out a sharp, dry laugh, resting his elbows on the table and looking at me with an amused tilt of his head. "Don't you think it's a little improper for my ex to be pressing me about my love life, Vance?"
