~~~ Mike heard the laughter between the boss and the young madam before he saw them. His mind went to the files he had brought to the mansion this morning, and he felt his temples throb. ‘He could already tell there was a raging storm over this seemingly perfect paradise. The boss's past and the truth about the madam's roots were like a dark cloud hovering over the happy couple.' Mike stared at his phone screen and didn't know if he should interrupt the happy couple. He had just received a message from Mr. Felix Morgan; he was about to board a plane bound for Manhattan, and Mike knew Mr. Felix being in Manhattan might complicate things.

“You're not qualified to serve us. Tell your general manager to serve us.” “Of course!” The waiter immediately dialed the general manager’s phone number. Not long after, a bald man in a suit quickly walked over. As he walked, he asked, “Which one of you is the Supreme Imperial Card holder?” He was the general manager of Imperial Restaurant, Mike Parson. He was also known as Bald Mike. “Of course, it’s me.” Edward immediately showed off a proud smile. Bald Mike took the Supreme Imperial Card and looked at it carefully to confirm that it was genuine.

It also didn't help that Mike had no family. Fortunately, I'd just been paid a few days ago so I didn't have to really bother about losing money for all the work I'd already put in. My mind drifted to Teddy. I wondered if I should say anything to him about what I'd seen. Probably not yet. It was just a few minutes past midnight and Teddy was probably sound asleep. I shouldn't disturb him. I still wasn't sure who Mike's killer was exactly but I was certain he wasn't someone I ever wanted to cross paths with. I should probably just move. I mean it wouldn't be so difficult, right?

The car ride to the state prison was really quiet. I watched as the city lights got smaller and smaller and the prison got closer and closer. I did not go there to feel better about what happened. I went there to get some answers. Mike Miller was the person who knew about Jason Xander’s money. The money that the FBI did not find. When Mike came into the visitation room he looked really different. The man who used to love wearing ties now wore an orange jumpsuit that was too big for him. His skin was pale. His eyes looked scared.

"You squeezed kickbacks from small business owners. You used Titan Capitals' funds to line your own pockets and threaten innocent families." Mike scrambled in the dirt. He grabbed a piece of paper. He read the highlighted numbers. His hands shook violently. "I... I can explain, Mr. Hudson..." Mike stammered. Tears welled in his eyes. He looked at Tracy. Tracy backed away from him, her hands raised in surrender. Dominic buttoned his suit jacket. He looked down at Mike with disgust. "Save your explanations for the federal judge," Dominic said. "Are you ready to spend the rest of your life in prison?"

Several folders covered his desk. Photographs. Financial reports. Old newspaper articles. The kind of evidence that destroys lives. He handed her one photograph. The image showed a man in his fifties. Dark hair. Sharp features. Expensive suit. A smile that somehow felt fake even in a photograph. "Victor Salazar." Taylaa studied the picture. "Who was he?" Michael leaned back. "He was one of the biggest money launderers on the East Coast." Her eyes widened. "What?" "For years, authorities tried to build a case against him."

Mike walked in to his hotel room and slumped on the bed. He played a song and increased the volume and danced to the song while packing his luggages into his mini box. He took the file and smelled it, he hasn't opened it ever since he collected it from Anthony, he has done his calculations and planned his life for the next 10 years. "Mike you are the most fortunate person on earth, you become a billionaire without working hard for it. I am lucky." He screamed and jumped up happily.

I enquired in a defensive manner, and Mike shifted to the edge of his seat and clasped his hands together in a prayer like manner. "I used to be in the Red cross society back in my university days. I know a… sprain when I see one." Mike said in a single breath and leaned back into his seat. I was stunned speechless. Asides the shocker of a drug lord caring about the wellbeing of others medically, it was the very first time Mike was telling me something about his past. The first time he was telling me something about him! I blinked and opened my mouth to say something, anything in reply, but I got as much luck as I would get in raising the dead.

Mike says. I can only laugh, but really, seriously, does this man think that he and his family treated me well? Mike is delusional. He was never good to me. He was never the husband I deserved to have. He will never be Damon. After what they have done to me, he really believed that I still care about him. I never cared about him. I was just used to him, and I think I felt sorry for him because I knew that he was never meant to be an attorney. Mike was never good at being an attorney, and he would have been nothing if it were not for me. I was the one handling all these cases. I was not happy with the way he and his father handled it. I was not happy with them bribing witnesses.

Michael started "No sir, it's not a lie. I was at home with my wife when I saw the debit alert of the money being withdrawn from the account under your name and as soon as I came to work I asked your secretary why she didn't inform me before the transaction took place and then she told me that you weren't at work and you didn't tell her about the money that got withdrawn" He explained "Are you trying to tell me that a ghost from nowhere took out the money from the account and you all don't have a solid excuse about it?" Michael asked
