It also didn't help that Mike had no family. Fortunately, I'd just been paid a few days ago so I didn't have to really bother about losing money for all the work I'd already put in. My mind drifted to Teddy. I wondered if I should say anything to him about what I'd seen. Probably not yet. It was just a few minutes past midnight and Teddy was probably sound asleep. I shouldn't disturb him. I still wasn't sure who Mike's killer was exactly but I was certain he wasn't someone I ever wanted to cross paths with. I should probably just move. The car ride to the state prison was really quiet. I watched as the city lights got smaller and smaller and the prison got closer and closer. I did not go there to feel better about what happened. I went there to get some answers. Mike Miller was the person who knew about Jason Xander’s money. The money that the FBI did not find. When Mike came into the visitation room he looked really different. The man who used to love wearing ties now wore an orange jumpsuit that was too big for him. His skin was pale. His eyes looked scared.

"You squeezed kickbacks from small business owners. You used Titan Capitals' funds to line your own pockets and threaten innocent families." Mike scrambled in the dirt. He grabbed a piece of paper. He read the highlighted numbers. His hands shook violently. "I... I can explain, Mr. Hudson..." Mike stammered. Tears welled in his eyes. He looked at Tracy. Tracy backed away from him, her hands raised in surrender. Dominic buttoned his suit jacket. He looked down at Mike with disgust. "Save your explanations for the federal judge," Dominic said. "Are you ready to spend the rest of your life in prison?"
