Hideous asked, which made Kyle and Keisley look at each other and wait for George's answer. George took a moment to gather his thoughts before responding to Hideous's question. He nodded his head. "Yes," he admitted, his voice steady, and he did not even have a hint of hesitation. Well, Sherly trusts them and does him. "I am part of the mafia, but I'm not the boss. The boss is my best friend, and I serve as his second in command." Second in command? Isn't it still considered a boss? There's only one person above him; it's the real owner of the mafia. Then now, he is telling them that he isn't the boss?

"Trust me, it's safe." Mike opens his eyes and glares at me with the kind of fury that would be intimidating if he wasn't currently tied up on his own floor looking like he lost a fight with his own furniture. "What are you doing? Untie me. Untie me right now." I actually laugh. "Who did you think I was, Mike? Did you honestly believe I'd come here without a plan? I was with you for years. I know exactly how you think. You're like a badly written thriller novel. Predictable plot, disappointing ending."

The only problem for them is that if Mike will shoot their boss or not in his desperate manner. (I'm stuck in another shitty situation. Guh... God just give me a little luck here!) -----------

Mike, Satan in disguise, called. “I’m coming.” Orlando and Jeff, who were unaware of how Mike’s game usually ended, sat there, clueless. “Should I be concerned?” Orlando asked when I went to sit beside him. “Your face tells me you don’t have a good experience with his games.” “Too late.” I sighed. “Friendly advice: stick to the truth.” Orlando nodded as Mike started with a mischievous grin. He had set a small stool in the middle with an empty beer bottle on it. I looked at the sky, praying Mike would let me walk out of this place with dignity.

There was no way I was letting him go, not until I heard what he had to tell me. I stood in front of him, forcing him to stop in his tracks, and he sighed," My favourite way of getting people to talk is pinning their hand to the table. I can do that to you, you know? But I don't want to. Just tell me whatever it is. I can handle that much." I said to him firmly. I watched him bite his lower lip and stare at me for a long moment as if he was contemplating whether it was worth it. If what he was trying to say was worth the stress that it came with.

Abigail's p.o.v; Mike asked me, Do you think this will work out?" I look up from my book and blink. It was late in the afternoon now, but I'm still awake and just finished a few chapters of a series I've been trying to get interested in for ages. "Uh, well it might? Why do you ask?" He shrugs. "It doesn't matter why, just answer honestly." I put down the book and sigh. We're sitting at our usual table in the cafe, having our lunches. I don't like where this conversation is going.

Mike, always one to stay level-headed, smiled but held up a hand to stop her. “We’ll celebrate when Ben and Jane fall into the final trap.” I glanced at Mike, curiosity tugging at me. “What kind of trap?” He met my eyes, his expression thoughtful. “I’ll tell you if it works. For now, I just want you to see the results.” I nodded, trusting him completely. Mike always had a plan, and more often than not, they worked in our favor. He was the reason I could sleep at night without worrying too much about the future.

Silence lingered between them. The rest of the flight was quiet as Kevin sat in another seat at the back busy signing documents and discussing business matters while Emma read a book and intermittently looked out the window watching the scenery below and sometimes stealing a glance back at him and caught him looking at her. After an hour, Kevin walked to her, checking on her as she drifted off to sleep. The leather-bound book she was reading lay open on her lap, the words written on its open page clearly visible; “If I know what love is, it is because of you!" Kevin smiled and then put the book aside. There was no lie in it.

“You underestimated me, Mike. You thought I was all talk.” His attempts at bravado faltered, and he swallowed hard. “Look, we can work this out. There is no need for violence.” I scoffed, my patience long gone. “You had your chance to work things out when I asked nicely. You refused me and now you will face the consequences.” With a swift motion, I ignited the bundle of flames, the fire dancing ominously in my hand. Mike’s face paled, realizing the gravity of the situation. He stumbled back, desperation in his eyes.

“I don’t know how to do that right now,” Mike answered. “I don’t know how to slow down. Because I am worried I’m in facing homelessness. And it might even happen sooner than I could ever dare to imagine, so bear with me. Please….?” Mike gave his friend a pitiful look then he chugged the left of the beer in his bottle and finished it, bottoms up. “Man, if your brother knew you’re here,” Justin worriedly uttered. “He will think I am dragging you to my wicked ways. Not that I mind when people misinterpret or judge me, but not your big bro, man, you know that, right?”
