Magnus and Ghost’s black wolves were just as muscular but less bulky. Diesel’s brown wolf was the smallest but the most spry. “Using your powers, I want you to neutralize the situation without causing harm to each wolf,” Miriam’s voice cut through the tense air, setting the stage for a challenging training session.

Natalia didn’t waste any time. “I need a Hillmand wolf cub” “Pardon?” both men said at the same time. The Hillmand wolf was a popular breed of wolf that was most abundant in the forest of damnation. They were bright orange in color with three black stripes that traveled from the middle of their head to their tail. Their eyes were bright red like rubies and they were often extracted and preserved like precious stones. However, it wasn’t exactly easy to catch a Hillmand wolf. They were swift and dangerous. A single injury from the wolf was dangerous because they carried a lot of parasites and they were immune to poison and a degree of magic.

“Because there was no Milo who was after you!” At my words, her mouth dropped to the floor. I went closer to her and circled her. “Alpha Rudy of the Neon pack is a friend and when I asked him about Milo in his pack, he said, there is none that goes by that name. So my other option was to find a ‘Milo’ for you.” I scoffed as I pointed at Milo, who was standing a few feet away. “He happens to be the only other Milo in this vicinity and he—” I glared at her with repugnance. “He lives in a small community, a few miles from the Neon pack. Guess what community is that?” When she froze, I couldn’t help sneering. “Yes, that’s the only red-light area for wolves.”

“Oh, God... Oh, God, please...” Milla continued to run even though she knew she couldn't go very far in such extreme cold. She fell, hot blood pouring from her knee. Before she could stand up, she saw the core of the big beast in front of her. It was a wolf with a dark coat. She could clearly see her figure through the darkness. Milla screamed, retreating with her feet and hands planted on the wet ground. In an instant, the wolf turned into a human. She immediately understood what it was.

Rah shuffled through it and then dropped it disappointed, “It just explains how a clan is your friend or foe. No mention of oldest, deadliest clans.” “Let’s first look for the book that talks about the oldest and most dangerous clans, okay?” Arthur suggested. “And keep an eye out for any mention of the red wolf, okay.” “Red wolf as in Mila?” Rah asked with raised eyes. “You knew Mila is a wolf?” Arthur gasped. “I suspected it. I have seen a glint of the red wolf in the past few days, you know since she came here, but never properly. Also, her hair is red, which usually is the color of the fur of the wolf, isn’t it?” Rah deduced.

She said with a quiet voice. Mireille was the kind of person who never shouts. She's known as the oldest wolf in the whole of the Silent Howl Clan. They were said to be marked and blessed by the moon goddess for they were the first of her followers. They were given the title of Legacy Wolves, keeping up their tradition and passing on their special traits through their children.

Wayne muttered and Olive whipped her head at him, scowling deeply. “Don't even think using words like that on me will get me to stop being angry,” she blurted but Wayne laughed and winked. “This is a masterpiece. It contains every myth and legend regarding the firewolf, what is true and not true,” Mufasa spoke out as he began glancing through the pages. “Apparently, they're rare and only happen in millenniums. According to Milicent who almost turned us all to book shelves of course,” Crusoe stated.
