Dayne’s POV The red-eyed wolf’s growl vibrates through the night, its presence a cold weight in my gut as I stand at the upstairs window, Talis’s warmth pressed against my side. Glynn’s taunt echoes below, his cruel smile fixed on Talis, but that unknown wolf, larger, wilder, not one of his shifts the game. My wolf snarls, torn between ripping Glynn apart and shielding Talis from this new threat, the mate bond pulsing with her fierce resolve.

chapter 11: The Brutal Encounter As the moon cast its silvery glow upon the rugged terrain, the trio of wolves stood before me. One of them, a formidable dark gray wolf, was the largest among them. He abruptly sprinted away, leaving me alone with the other two. "So, he's making you do his dirty work?" I sneered, disdain dripping from my voice. "Imagine the tales you'll pass down to your grandchildren. 'Hey, remember the time we killed Uncle Ray's mate?' You two are nothing but pathetic." My words carried a mixture of anger and defiance, culminating in a defiant spit in the direction of the wolf closest to me.

The two men stood toe to toe, neither backing down. "Just kill them and be done with it. Baxter you can have your females return and all will be right with the packs again. All of this uproar over some insignificant little humans. Your wolves will find other mates. Rhys, if you could find this second mate after one hundred and twenty years, wait a little longer and you'll find a third." Metzger had a smirking look that left his face when Rhys grabbed him by the lapels and picked him up like he was a cub.

A howl with a purpose. A quarter of the warriors followed and shifted, the sound of bones breaking and skin tearing serving as the music as the sun started to set. The battle willl stretch ‘til night. In place of the men were wolves, all mighty and ferocious. Fierce slit eyes, a magnificent mane of fur, and razor sharp nails digging the soil. The wolves sat and it was the others’ cue to climb onto them. Atleast four men could ride one wolf. Another howl came from Flavian, and altogether, the wolves huffed and took a leap. In the blink of an eye, all that was left of them were dust from the utter speed.

He squinted, making sure the wolf was really different. “This one’s Killian. Akira might be roaming the surrounding forest. He likes playing with the rabbits.” She didn’t bother explaining, but the wolves have an uncanny ability to minimize their presence, blending in the background. They’re great with stealth. That’s how they normally startle other people when they decide to make their presence known. Alex cleared his throat and ignored the wolf. He set his eyes on her face and gave her attention. What does he want to know? “You said you’re my mate but I feel no bond towards you.”

“Yes, it seems Neil was right, you are being an asshole at the moment.” “Lily, it is not below me right now to pick you up from your collar and dump you outside of my room. Do. NOT. Test. My. Patience.” His wolf growled out, his black eyes turning gold, a sign of his wolf emerging from its slumber, only for his sister’s own black eyes to turn copper, challenging his with a small snarl.

Another guy stood up, "I'm Ralph Bensen, a member of the beta hounds pack too. I like trekking. If you like to go trekking sometime, I'm pleased to help you." Lucian hit on Ralph's shoulder and made him sit in his place. "I'm Jacob Elrod, member of stealth Mane pack." "I'm Teo, a human." looked at the guys beside him and made a smile at me. "I'm Rudina Hart, alpha female of a howling jaws pack. Nice to meet you, Ms Hopper." Why are there so many werewolves in this class than humans? I saw the guy who helped me from the bus terminal to the school. The talkative guy? He's in this class too?

Mom, Dad she called out slowly to them moving close in their direction. By the time she found them they had already transformed into werewolves it's wasn't easy, controlling them as wolves, to make them go under the basement, she tried all she could but failed then she said to them, "I don't care how aggressive you are towards me, you know you can't hurt me because I am also a young wolf, just like you are a werewolf from one pack, I can control you, as been a young she-wolf, I will do anything to make sure you don't cause any harm to others."

I whisper-yelled. “ Ahem!”, Someone cleared their throat above us. We looked up, and in the trees were three wolves staring down at us. I sighed, “ Shit…”. ****** MILLICENT ‘Mate is here!’ My wolf barked in my head and I jumped to my feet. Landon’s scent drifted to my nose. My wolf clawed inside me, trying to take over and get out of here. The was commotion above us, “ I can sense our warriors!” One of the wolves announced almost at the same time. I started pulling on the chains, “ Everyone pull! We need to get out of here now!” I yelled.

She didn’t heed. As always. Stubborn wolf. Killian’s wolf roared. His brown eyes pierced Miracle’s neck. He was ready to launch another attack. “Little girl, it’s your last living day. I wish you a happy and painful death.” Killian’s wolf sneered. He let out a low growl. Then, a loud howl attacked Miracle again. She dodged. “His wolf can talk? What more does he have underneath that thick, old and wrinkled body?” I felt disgusted. This was the second rare power.
