Switched at the Mafia Auction

Switched at the Mafia Auction

He reached out and brushed a strand of hair from my face — absentminded, gentle. “I don’t like leaving in the mornings,” he confessed quietly. “You have work.” “I know.” There was frustration beneath it. Not at me. At circumstance. “You don’t have to be everywhere at once,” I told him. “I know,” he repeated. But he still looks back twice before exiting the room each morning qs if memorizing the sight of me resting there. The midwives have begun teaching me breathing techniques. Slow inhales. Controlled exhales. Visualization. They dim the lights during practice and speak softly. “Imagine the pain as a wave,” one says. “It rises. It peaks. It falls. You are not drowning. You are riding it.”

Her Resolve

Her Resolve

—he gestured vaguely toward my stomach—“is important when you’re growing a human and eventually trying to get them out.” I laughed despite myself. “You sound very informed.” “I Googled,” he said. “Extensively. For five whole minutes.” I considered it. I’d never been particularly flexible, and the idea of slowing down, of listening to my body instead of constantly pushing it, felt… unfamiliar. But maybe unfamiliar wasn’t a bad thing anymore. “I could try it,” I said. “It might help me clear my head.” His face lit up. “Yes! Perfect. I know a place not far from here. Very calm. Lots of plants. Minimal chanting.”

The Lycan King's Contracted Luna

The Lycan King's Contracted Luna

He said it would be easier to practice healing techniques indoors, where we had more control over the environment. I sat cross-legged on the floor, my eyes closed, trying to find that internal light Hayden kept talking about. The room was quiet except for the sound of our breathing and the occasional crackle from the fireplace. "Breathe in for four counts," Hayden instructed from his position across from me. "Hold for four. Out for four. Keep the rhythm steady." I followed his instructions, but my mind kept wandering to that night. "Your focus is scattered," Hayden observed. "I can feel it from here. Clear your mind of distractions."

The Second Wife's Revenge

The Second Wife's Revenge

"Your bookshelf. The clock. The plant. The window. Your coffee mug." "Good. Now four things you can touch." The chair fabric. My jeans. The ring on my finger. My phone in my pocket. "Three things you can hear." Traffic outside. The air conditioning. My own breathing. "Two things you can smell." Coffee. Lavender from somewhere. "One thing you can taste." The mint from my toothpaste this morning. My panic subsided. Slowly. But it worked. "This is what we'll practice. Bringing you back to the present when your mind goes to the past."

Rejected By Him, Claimed By Another Alpha

Rejected By Him, Claimed By Another Alpha

He had not shifted from the position he had taken at the beginning — standing at my left side, within reach, within sight, a fixed point in a room that was doing things that required fixed points. "Focus on your breathing." I was focusing on my breathing. I had been focusing on my breathing with the deliberate, trained attention that Mara had developed in me over months of practice, and it had been working, and it was still working in the technical sense, and the technical sense was becoming insufficient. "Push when you need to."

The lost Goddess and her mysterious Alpha

The lost Goddess and her mysterious Alpha

he asked and gently took his hands off my shoulder. I bit off the protest I wanted to let out and stifled my disappointment. With a gentle nod, I tried to do as he instructed. It was when I tried to sit still that I realised how difficult it was to actually do that. I had the sudden urge to scratch at random itches and twitched my fingers… After a while though; I got the hang of it and slowly breathed in and out. I repeated the mantra Om and thought of nothing else. I felt so calm and sleepy and felt relaxed. I was about to open my eyes when I felt the world shift around me and I had the feeling was I was no longer in the same world. I opened my eyes and gasped at the sight that greeted me…

SATOU, D.
This is interesting. I gave it 10. Because I like the story. Even I'm not into female lead yet I found it interesting. What is the goddess Artemis leads to? Just from reading the synopsis it tickles the surprises! Thank you for sharing this. Imma recommend this to my other friends.

Bit of a long winded read, lots of filler sentences, only at chapter 15 and already changed from a wolf to a tiger, either needs to re-edit the book and fix mistakes or remove from warewolf genre not worth the money spent so far, but will give it couple more chapters to see where it goes

The Silver Wolf

The Silver Wolf

“To keep your mind at peace under any circumstances, you need to take everything as it is; it will give you ease. Learn to accept your past incidents and circumstances as they are, without the desire to change their consequences and outcomes, be they good or bad. Also, learn to accept and love yourself as you are, with all the mistakes and shortcomings!” “Remove your focus of attention from the stimulus and focus it on yourself, on your inner world, on the sensations in the body. Abstracted from external factors and irritants. Remove anxiety, haste, anger, resentment, and so on. If there is tension in the body, remove it. Be relaxed within yourself whenever you are about to use your abilitie

This is story is sooo awesome. Lie it caught my attention from the beginning and I've been enjoying it so far. The beginning kind of have short chapters and were repeated but that stopped afterawhile, but it's worth reading and would not advise you to be discouraged by it has it's one of the best...

We Are Destined Mates

We Are Destined Mates

My heart beats hard in my ear, and I count three before exhaling, “Now repeat.” I do the same process again, and everything starts to slow down around me. My mind quietens, and I feel like I’m falling. My body feels lighter. “Now peer into your mind,” His voice comes, “Look at all your memories, and go over them, one by one. Try to find where your roots lie.”

Aina: mated to 7 Alphas

He opened the door for me and gestured for me to take a seat. "So, how have you been since our last session?" he asked, settling into his chair across from me. "I've been doing well, thank you," I replied, crossing my legs. "That's great to hear. Have you been practicing the mindfulness exercises we talked about? "Yes, I have. They've been really helpful, especially during stressful moments at work." "That's wonderful to hear. Mindfulness is a powerful tool for managing stress and anxiety. Have you noticed any changes in your thoughts or behaviors since we started practicing mindfulness?"

Ex-Husband's Regret

Ex-Husband's Regret

Her fingers tense for the briefest second when our palms touch then they relax. “Sierra.” The instructor’s voice floats over us before either of us can say more. “Let’s begin.” We sit cross-legged, hands resting on our bellies. “Close your eyes,” the instructor says gently. “Feel the weight of your body against the earth. Feel your breath.” I obey. At first, my mind refuses to cooperate. It’s loud. Restless. Jumping between evidence and deadlines and worst-case scenarios.

I feel like the one downside to your writing is that you tend to have a character come up and tell the main character what to do and how to feel it's the same thing that happened with ava and her mother and now it's the same thing happening with travis's wife and ava supposed to the characters earni
