His darkness

His darkness

He had always been the goofy one, whether around his group of friends or with me. "Okay, so! Prepare yourself for meditation. Make yourself comfortable and sit down with a straight back. Tilt your head down. Don't worry about what to do with your hands or eyes. Focus on your breathing for 3 to 5 minutes. Work your way up to longer sessions. Let's start this!" I tried my best not to roll my eyes at him and took a deep breath and focused well-tried to focus at what he just said, perhaps, read, with my eyes closed.

A contract in Dubai

A contract in Dubai

"I order you to calm down, I am your master, and you are safe. Close your eyes. Feel only my chest and my hand on your head, and breathe slowly. Breathe deeply and slowly. You're completely safe." I don't know how Jonathan does it, but just listening to his firm voice, the words that come out of his mouth slowly, and hearing his heartbeat, I can already calm down. I look at him curiously, and he explains that it's a technique of psychological conditioning, and feeling his embrace makes me feel extremely safe, loved, protected. And he manages to do this in a way that surprises me.

Sinner's Empire Series: Sin of Silence, A Silent Reckoning, Goodnight Sinners

Sinner's Empire Series: Sin of Silence, A Silent Reckoning, Goodnight Sinners

She only knew how to run and so far, even that hadn't worked for her. Far from being able to think of another plan to get herself out of the situation, Shaun was exhausted. Her long shopping trip, her sprint for freedom, her tense wait for Jozef with his aunt, being dragged down to this prison: it had all worked together to sap every ounce of energy from her. She lay on her side on the pallet and closed her eyes. She didn't think she would fall asleep, but at least she could rest. Shaun counted her breaths, four beats in and seven out. She'd learned the technique in a mindfulness class that she had taken online. It actually helped her calm down. To release the stress from her body.

The Catalyst

The Catalyst

“Right, okay, shutting my mouth.” “The objective is to reach a state of relaxation. We begin with slow, controlled deep breaths. Try to keep your mind clear and focused on your breathing. Thoughts will come, and that’s okay, but let them come and then let them go. It’s natural to feel a variety of emotions as well, it’s okay, but don’t let them disrupt your focus. Just like thoughts, let them come and let them go. Now you can close your eyes or focus on a specific point, that’s up to you.”

Craving Forbidden Pleasures

Craving Forbidden Pleasures

He didn’t touch her, yet she felt enclosed. “Breathe,” he said again. “Each breath draws you closer to balance.” The word balance echoed in her chest, but what she felt wasn’t balance—it was surrender. When he finally stepped back, the air felt thinner, colder. “Good,” he said. “You’re learning.” She wanted to ask what she was learning, exactly. But her voice wouldn’t come. He watched her a moment longer, then picked up her copy of the mindfulness book. “Page seventy-two,” he said. “Read it tonight. There’s a passage about grounding through presence. I think you’ll find it… illuminating.”

His Fanged Luna

His Fanged Luna

"Starting with maybe toning down the internal illumination?" They immediately dimmed, looking pleased with themselves. "Better?" "Better," I confirmed, then had to grab the counter as another wave of dizziness hit me. Human equilibrium was so... limited. First moved closer, their concern evident even without cosmic senses. "First lesson maybe sitting quiet? Like meditation practice?" I smiled weakly. "Probably a good idea. Though..." I glanced at the coffee maker, "maybe after another cup?" "Coffee first, then quiet," they agreed solemnly. "Very human priority order."

The Haven Of Shadows

The Haven Of Shadows

That tiny spark, that’s what I came here to protect. I lead them through a simple exercise first, grounding. I place my hands near each of them in turn, just hovering, and the mindlink threads hum beneath my fingers. I sense their tension, their buried fears, and I let my warmth, my pulse, and my voice guide them. “Close your eyes,” I instruct gently. “Feel your feet on the floor. Let your thoughts settle. Breathe with me. In… and out.”

The Billionaire’s Fight For Redemption

Her fingers tense for the briefest second when our palms touch then they relax. “Sierra.” The instructor’s voice floats over us before either of us can say more. “Let’s begin.” We sit cross-legged, hands resting on our bellies. “Close your eyes,” the instructor says gently. “Feel the weight of your body against the earth. Feel your breath.” I obey. At first, my mind refuses to cooperate. It’s loud. Restless. Jumping between evidence and deadlines and worst-case scenarios.

wish you the Best for your health recovery. I hope that once you'll feel better you could rewrite the 2nd part of this book which seems like a sum up of the story. Their way to each other, their cute moments, N's POV, their interactions with family, twins, friends, are all missing

There's something I don't understand: why do they always make the female protagonists so submissive and weak- characters who get humiliated and have bad things happen to them? I prefer the ones who are strong and won't let themselves be walked all over; there was none of that in this book.

Marked Against My Will

Marked Against My Will

But enough. The Alpha exhales slowly, tension easing from his shoulders for the first time all day. “We’ll start small,” he says. “Limited anchors. Short durations. Observed.” Training begins that night. It’s careful. Deliberate. Almost ceremonial. The first anchor is simple — standing with awareness, letting the land pass through instead of into. I guide without touching, voice low, focused. The Alpha watches everything, ready to intervene. When the first wave of pressure redistributes successfully, relief hits so hard my knees nearly buckle.
