And why was she here now?
I sighed deeply, feeling a tingle run up and down my arm where she touched. Her hands were like magic, and took away the pain.
“You are very good at that,” I told her.
“I’m glad you think so,” she replied to me, “Then again, being a doctor, healing people is what I’m good at.”
“Among other things,” I pointed out. “But really, it’s very good. I don’t even feel any pain.”
Unlike a simple reply that I expected to hear, I instead felt her hands freeze where they were placed on my body.
