The Alpha’s claimed mate
It screeched, the sound reverberating through my skull, but I didn’t let go.
The creature lashed out, its claws raking across my flank. I yelped, the force of the blow knocking me back. Before it could follow up, Megan hurled a vial of shimmering liquid at it. The glass shattered on impact, and the creature howled as the liquid burned through its form.
“Nice shot,” I growled, limping back toward her.
“Don’t thank me yet,” she said, panting. “There’s more coming.”
As if summoned by her words, three more Sentinels emerged from the mist. Their glowing green eyes locked onto us, and they moved in unison, their steps eerily silent.
