The crack in the sky had sealed itself by morning, leaving only a bruised moon above the MoonRider pack stronghold.
Raven stood before her mirror, with trembling hands and dark circles shadowing her eyes as she pinned her black hair into a loose braid.
She couldn’t shake off the nightmare about the rift splitting, her own face bathed in silver fire, and her guardians kneeling in blood.
“Stop looking at yourself like you’re already broken,” Axel’s voice rumbled softly from behind her.
