You're also using me.” “So, we're even?” “You wish.” I marched past him, deciding which car to drive. Misha slowed behind me, brows lifting. “Really? You’re picking the tank?” “It’s the only one that won’t rattle your stitches loose the moment I hit a pothole,” I said flatly, unlocking the doors. He opened the passenger side door and climbed in with that mock betrayal on his face. “This is the first time I’ve ever sat in my own car like a sidekick.”

Book 2- Chapter 6 Missy opened her eyes to her respiratory organs still functioning, her lashes batted like that of an angel as she settled down in the weird reality where everything seems to be too clean for the dirty world she lives in. Her bones felt restricted but she managed to rise on her elbows, now getting a clear survey of where she is. Adjacent her at the far end of the room was the least person she expect to see with herself in the room. “What is he doing here?” She questioned herself in the silence before taking a rounder survey at the room to realize she was in a hospital room and by the looks of it she was admitted.

I yelled and waved my left hand to catch her attention, and she looked my way finally. "Hi! What?" She asked me, taking off her headphones and putting them down on the bed, and I shook my head in response. "I just have a few concerns. Can you come here for a moment?" I answered and turned my gaze to her computer on my study table. And I looked back at her. "What is it, Syd? What chapter are you on now?" She asked and got out of my bed, and she sat on the couch near me. "Well... I am... Here... Here on the... It's the... 69th Chapter." I answered and stammered, and she gasped in surprise.

"You fucking liar, Felicia Cooper! Your brother's dead now because the doctors failed to save him! I hope you spend the rest of your life wallowing in regret!" I cried out in despair, letting out a muffled groan through the thick fabric. Tears streamed down my face. I hated Dylan with every fiber of my being. I swore that I never wanted to see him again if there was an afterlife. The doorlock beeped. The countdown also reached zero. My consciousness faded. As I fell to the ground, the door was pushed open. Dylan walked in with a birthday cake in his hands, his voice light and cheery as he said, "See? I told you that you wouldn't die. You're still alive and kicking, aren't you? Happy b—"

I ask her. “Maybe,” Missy says. Missy sounds exhausted, “Where have you been Missy?” I ask. “When you started to fall, I protected you as much as I could, but it wasn’t enough. When you passed out, I must have passed out as well,” she says. “Well, we’re together now so we’ll get back to Jared and find out what happened, together, Missy,” I say. Yawning Missy agrees and snuggles up in the back of my mind. Now that I feel her, I can feel our healing starting to happen faster. My head pain has eased, and I feel like I am that much closer to waking. Jared POV

Damn I could drown in those beautiful eyes she has. “Get a shirt on,” she patted my bare chest and ran her hands downward. “You do not want to get sick, do you?” I excused myself quickly and went upstairs to grab a sweater. Dominic was in my seat when I returned. This guy wants me to kill him. “My seat,” I said to him. He pointed towards the one beside Kylie. “My seat,” I said once more angrily. Without uttering another word he got up quickly and moved. I sat back beside Reign and she gave me a questioning look.

Misha's POV I opened the door and faced Maddison. I could see the shock on her face when she saw me. "Who the hell are you?" she asked, raising an eyebrow. First meeting, and she already gave me an attitude. Damn, she’s gorgeous up close. Her face is envy-inducing. I can’t compete with this woman. My confidence drops whenever she’s around. “I think I should be the one asking that. Who are you, and what do you need?” I asked, even though I already knew who she was. I couldn’t help but address her formally.

Ria switched off her button and quickly went back to sleep. Her aunt quickly switched on the lights and looked around. "Who is here? Show yourself to me." "Mummy! Stop making noise." Meenakshi whined. Mrs Malhotra switched off the lights again and went back to sleep. Ria got off the bed again and walked towards her aunt. "These girls were too slim for me to eat. You are enough for my meal tonight," said Ria in a typical spooky voice. Her aunt immediately got up and Ria had to quickly rush off before she caught her. To her surprise, her aunt slowly opened the door and walked out.

I flipped back into reality, and it made me wish I was not in that place. "You didn't miss Ma'am Felicity too much, did you, Miss Elyana?" the servants teased me. I immediately loosened the hug and stepped away from that gay who didn't even try to defend me. "Well, I do. I missed my best friend. It's normal for us to hug. There's no malice to that," I told them to escape the awkwardness even a little. I was quite pissed that Felicity didn't even say anything. My hand went behind me and I gave him a pinch.
