Iris winced in pain as Tommy deliberately pressed hard against the incision on her index finger to force the blood to stop flowing out. His soft, fleshy body crumpled and tore under the unyielding metal. The pain was so great that he couldn't even scream. Hell, he couldn't even think. She was dressed in all black, but it was the kind of adorable sailor uniform seen in Japanese anime and manga, reminiscent of a loli character. Coldness mixed with a hint of liveliness. She reached up and pushed aside a piece of scrap metal from her head, then bent down and pulled out a half-human-sized machine gun from the wreckage of the car.

Its skin was a mottled, necrotic grey, its maw dripping with a black, corrosive saliva as it caught Solar entirely by surprise. The strike was blindingly fast. Solar spun, her golden jaws snapping shut in a desperate defense, but the creature’s jagged fangs sank deep into her front shoulder blade, tearing through the golden fur.

He was going to play the Grim Reaper tonight and he had no remorse about it. “You kept her because you wanted to prevent this. She is alive and it is still happening. You may be my King but I am your friend and your safety is more important to me than whatever that woman has to say” his voice firm. I had no energy to comment anymore. I still felt bursts of the antidote in my system that urged me to go lay down in an ice bath and tremors from my blood that had gone missing from the blade.
