‘Elmo, do you want to go first? ‘Okay.’ Elmo dragged his mug of hot chocolate to him. ‘I spoke with Cordelia Crust today. I couldn’t believe that she got back so fast. She said that these three arrows aren’t runes she’s familiar with. At first she thought it was a repeat of this rune—’ He picked up one of Patience’s pencils and scrawled an example upon a serviette: ‘That’s the rune for Tiwaz, a Nordic god. Very big in Viking times,’ Patience recalled.

The woods were literally between our house and the town, which was best for protecting howling wolves from prying eyes. In ancient times Herodotus wrote of the Neuri, a nomadic tribe from Scythia which later became part of Russia. If folklore were to be believed, they were a tribe of magical men who could change into wolves. If you asked Malachi, he would laugh and say that those men probably wore wolf skins because of the harsh climate of Russia and were mistaken for wolf men. Nobody can be certain when wolf people first originated, but the wolf god, Fenrir, is universally accepted by all wolf packs as the first creator of our kind. Although Fenrir had no magic of his own, Freyja represente

At this, Modi paused to gaze at her. “You’re right. I must find out who she mated with that got her pregnant.” He turned to the priest and asked in curiosity. “Can you tell me what you see?” The priest took a seat in his conjuring room followed by Modi and made to begin his conjuring process. “I see… another Alpha from the Northern tribe. He’s strong and ruthless. More powerful than you and most Alphas in all the mainlands.” Modi’s eyes open in shock. “Who is he?”

“So this is how mate bonds feel for your kind, which was originally my kind as well. We believe that it’s Mani who does this, not the Moon Goddess that the other wolves believe in. My mate bond with both Silas and then Kane felt more like a compulsion, but my bonds with my dragon mates, and Malik….and now Stienn are more slow burn and instinctual, more primal. I wonder if that’s because our belief systems are more similar. The belief in the sun and the moon. Whereas the wolves here are all about the Moon Goddess.” “That is a loaded question now, isn’t it? I guess the argument could be made that yes, essentially what you are saying is correct. Your experience thus far backs up the theory that

we both said in unison. “Yes, my sweet children. I brought you here to share with you, your destiny.” Louise and I looked at each other confused, then looked at her. “What do you mean Moon Goddess?” Louise asked. “Please call me Selene. And for centuries wars have broken out for one reason or another. They don’t happen as much anymore but they still happen occasionally. I have brought you here to explain why you both have been given the vision of foresight.” “Foresight? You mean like and oracle?” I asked.

Hoder then put Odin's hand on his statue and it received the breath of life. Then the happy Hoder invited all the Aesir to Idovall, the great central plain of Asgard. But great were the astonishment and disappointment of the gods when Hoder introduced the new Baldur. Several Aesir spoke of affront and disrespect to Baldur's memory, because the new Baldur was hideous and hunchbacked. Frigg and Odin's hearts were further hurt, and the latter condemned Hoder to exile, by promising him that his next born brother would come to claim justice for Baldur. However, Mimir the "god of remembrance", Vidar the "god of revenge", Bragi the "god of poetry and the arts" and Thor the "god of lightning and war

They lived underneath the world tree and wove the tapestry of fate. Nidhogg (or Níðhöggr, meaning ‘curse striker’) was the dragon-like creature that gnawed away at the very roots of the Yggdrasil—the World Tree (the tree that held the various worlds of the Norse cosmos). In Norse mythology, Nidhogg was the primary malefactor among the many serpents and giants, and as such, his name meant ‘he who strikes with malice.'

"Odin's wife and Thor's wife. I'm a little concerned about mine." "What do you mean?" Ingrid asked, tilting her head to one side. "Well, in Norsk Mythology mine is the Goddess of death and ruler of Helheim." I muttered, not sure how to take this information. "Hela." Olivia smiled. "It is good to have you with us Hela, thank you for protecting our pup."
