"Aunt Alice, where's Mom? Is she okay? When is she coming home?" Alice crouched down to their level, offering a gentle smile. "Hey there, you two," she began, her voice filled with warmth. "Your mom is alright, don't worry. She's just finishing up some important work before she can come home to you. She really wants to see you, but she needs a little more time." My mother pushed me backwards with both hands to my chest before swooping her into a hug. “I began to lose hope for him.” She admitted in a whisper only meant for my mate’s ears.
