Mondays. Freaking Mondays. Why were Mondays even created? The sizzling of onions sautéing and the birds chirping outside our apartment brought a calming effect as I cooked breakfast in our makeshift kitchen. Yet the fact that it was a Monday drowned all of it. I hated Mondays most.

You know that feeling when you wake up to a day that just feels off right from the moment you open your eyes? It could be the harsh rays of the sun nearly blinding and forcing you to wake up early on a Saturday morning or the annoying sound of your alarm reminding you that it's a Monday Morning again after you spent Sunday evening drinking your guts out. That small, seemingly unimportant detail in your morning that makes sure you have a bad rest of your day. I was having one of those mornings, but unlike most, I knew exactly why it was going to be a bad day.

MONDAY IS USUALLY one of the days that I look forward to the most as it's always the start of a new school day, but not today. I forced myself to sleep, knowing that tomorrow I would face whatever new challenges I might encounter. I don't know how many hours I slept but I suddenly woke up due to a loud knocking from outside the door. Feeling drowsy, I reluctantly got up to open the door, as the person outside was almost breaking it with the force of their knocking. Aiden's POV Monday mornings had a personality. They were loud. Not because people talked more. Because everyone seemed to be in a hurry. Students hurried across campus with coffee in one hand and notebooks in the other. Professors walked through the hallways with the determined expressions of people who had already answered too many emails before nine o'clock. By the time I reached the Business School building, my phone had already buzzed twice. The first message was from Mom. Good luck with your presentation today. ❤️

"Get up! Its Monday. You need to get ready for school." "Mondays suck..." I groan groggily, not capable of normal human speech quite yet. At that my mom laughs lightly. "Well isn't that the truth. But you need to wake up. Come on." She reiterates, giving my arm a little shake for good measure. "Okay, okay, I'm up, I'm up." I assure her, lifting my head up slightly. Jasmine's POV Its Monday and the first day of school. I hate Mondays. Especially the first Monday of a new term. Seeing annoying faces again.
