Consequently, most monsters assumed human form. However, there were two categories among them. The first merely took on a human appearance, requiring energy to maintain. The majority fell into this category, while the second involved a complete transformation into a human. This "shape shifting" occurred upon reaching significant strength, akin to a silkworm emerging from its pupa. It symbolized a rebirth for the monsters. Despite the pain endured during the process, the completed transformation brought substantial benefits. Given the human body's perfection for training, monsters found it efficient to undergo this transformation for their training endeavors.

I needed to feed my monsters or there would be consequences. “Hi, handsome. Would you like some company?” I turned and saw an attractive blonde standing next to me. Perfect. I thought to myself. Monster existence has threatened the lives of every living humane being in this world, yet not many were driven to hunt them, because it was dangerous. " I almost laughed at how ridiculous it sounded. I used to think Ophelia was just born rotten. As it turned out, Lauren wasn't any better. Like they say, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Her heart ached as Elizah turned her gaze out the window. "I’m sure the perpetrator wasn’t Liam. The police caught the wrong person, Julie. I don’t want to live like this. They let the real perpetrator walk free while Liam is imprisoned!" Elizah’s voice was heavy and filled with anger. Julie fully understood her sister’s feelings but could do nothing except try to calm her down. Julie fell silent, recalling something: "monsters."
