The woman in the lab coat backed off, her hands clamped over her ears.
“Warning! Human emotions detected!” she cried. “Cleaning is failing! Security, help me in Room 402!”
The air tore open.
Three figures stepped through—like the Specialist, but clad in black armor, carrying poles buzzing with blue electricity.
“The Janitors,” June whispered.
The Janitors stayed silent. They moved fast. One swung his pole at June. She dove; blue energy grazed her head. The air smelled burned.
“Dante, look out!”
The second Janitor grabbed Dante's neck and flung him across the floor. Dante slid twenty feet, hitting the wall hard.
