He asked, the noise of his voice hidden beneath the shrill screeched of bats and monster alike. “Kill it?” I suggested. “Good idea,” he agreed. I drew my skeletons out of the forest in a ring around the monster, drawing its eye from the bats to the new prey. For a moment it and the skeletons were still and then it launched itself at them with a scuttling speed that reminded me of a cockroach. As it tossed the skeletons high, Phantom and I struck, running between its spiny legs, to its underbelly, stabbing our blades into the join between the armor that protected its core.

All I did was stare at him; I couldn't move a muscle even though I wanted to run. The man wore a black suit with a matching black bow tie. He was a skinny creole-looking man with hollow cheeks and a long face that matched the lifelessness of his drooping yellow eyes. That's when I knew; I saw the eyes come to life from the dust and I knew exactly what he was. I couldn't explain how he had just impersonated Mama, but I knew he was a bloodsucker—a vampire. And the nightmares and fears that Mama told me about hours prior were coming true.

"Do you know them?" Dante asked Dae in an emotionless tone reading papers of business. "No, I don't. " Dae answered. "The big man came to get the little one and they wanted to give me some...companion." "Fine. Do you like it, the companion?" "..." Without having an answer, Dante didn't ask more and continued to mind his own business. The little Dae looked out the window counting the raindrops. It seemed that he was enjoying more the silence.

“I didn’t get the chance to thank you.” Her breath shook. “Thank me? You kissed me without my permission,” she whispered. “You scared me. And now—now you’re here? Why? What do you want from me?” The corner of his mouth tilted, almost amused. “So you know who I am.” “You’re Adriano Greco,” she said, her voice trembling. “The monster people talk about.” He took another step closer. “Monster?” he repeated softly. “That’s what they call me?”

I let out a sigh and lick my bottom lip. “How do I put this… I think there’s a monster on the loose causing these murders, and somehow your sons and I are involved. It’s like history’s repeating itself. I know it sounds crazy, but I didn’t believe it was anything out of the ordinary till I read it for myself. What happens is the monster either possesses its victim or shape-shifts. I’m not sure, but it’s one of them, and the victims are usually one of the mates.” My stare drifts up to see she’s zoned out. Her face has gone pale, that whitish pallor that reminds me of the corpse I’ve seen. She doesn’t bat a lash, just remains still while she stares absently at me.

Without question, they all fired as they knew that thing is a threat. *BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM* A festival bullets rain to the monster's face splurting blue liquid showering the vincity of the entrance door. "Did we killed it?" "What a terrifying creature is that?" "Even I can tell that thing is a real monster covered in human blood. That not something you could wear and called it a costume." As they stop shooting the monster still did not move an inch or even showing its whole body. After a few seconds of silence between the two sides, the monster showed its creepy terrifying smile.

He shakes his head again. "Now I allow my voice to change, to deepen, to resonate with the fullness of my incredibly long life. The effect on him is pronounced; he shakes visibly, as if he is suddenly aware that he is sitting next to a monster. But I am not just any monster. I am a vampire, and in many ways, for his sake, that may be the worst monster of all.

I tried to look outside; it may seem like a normal day with people walking around but this is all a façade. “Monsters in human form,” I muttered as I continue to stop the bleeding of my legs. “We’re not as bad as you think.” A cloud of dust was blown on my face and suddenly, I lost my sight and felt the urge to close my eyes and sleep. I woke up with a cold feeling on my cheeks, the werewolf with silver eyes is tapping his hands on my cheeks when I opened my eyes. “Convel, you used too much grovel mushroom.” He stopped tapping my cheeks and looked at the man behind him, the man with blue eyes.

The Guardian dragged the blade down as far as he could reach and then pulled it straight up as the bloodsucker went rigid, and his knees buckled. Brandon’s broken leg slammed into the ground again, and the Vampire rolled on top of him. His scream was choked off by the vomit that propelled itself out of his mouth as he could no longer deal with the pain. Dax was over them now, and he sank a titanium bullet into the monster’s head, immediately exploding it into a million pieces of ash.

This pull is strange, scary but amazing. The problem now is, how do I keep the most stubborn Vampire to ever exist safe without having a fight with her?
