Moonbound Fate Novels & Stories

Her star tattoo glowed white, Mist curling protectively within her, emotions tender: gratitude for the pack's survival, sorrow for losses, hope in the vision. Soren stood at the altar, his silver-streaked hair gleaming, brown eyes distant as he clutched the lunar staff, the moonstone tip flaring blue. "Gather close," he rumbled, his deep voice resonant, emotions steady: paternal concern, faith in the moon. "The vision comes—the moon reveals Veyra's return and a lunar eclipse."

The very notion was an insult to everything I had built. And then fate—ironic, cruel fate—handed her to me. January 14th, 202X Today, I received word that Lucine Moonbane, the matriarch of Moonbane, succumbed to the Red Moon’s curse. The news arrived dressed in pomp and formality, like some tragic royal announcement. But I felt no grief—only the cold, sharp thrill of opportunity. Within the hour, I was already on horseback, racing toward the Moonbane estate.

“Then tell me.” For a moment, he didn’t respond. But then, so quietly she almost didn’t hear it, he murmured: “I am the last of the Moonfallen” Selene froze. Her blood turned to ice. The Moonfallen were a legend. A pack wiped out ten years ago by the High Council, accused of crimes so terrible their name was erased from history. No survivors. Except… there was. Killian. She had saved a ghost. And if anyone found out, she would burn with him.

“Scared of… losing myself… or losing you… or losing everyone.” “Then don’t,” he whispered. “Not tonight. Not ever. We build from here. We survive. Together.” The moon climbed higher, casting long silver shadows across the ruins. Wolves stirred in the distance, the echo of their howls rippling across the city, signaling survival, dominance, and renewal. I let my gaze sweep across the destruction and the scattered survivors, knowing the path ahead would be hard, dangerous, and uncertain. But I felt the first spark of something I hadn’t allowed myself in months: hope.

Word ran down the mountain faster than horses. By the time Kael and Aria rode back into the main camp at the past, the air hummed with it. Temple. Trial. Moon‑Bound Luna. Bond sealed. Prince broken. None of the stories were entirely accurate. All of them carried the same truth: The Moon had chosen.

Moon rolled her eyes. “No. But I am joining the cartel tomorrow” The voice giggled. “What?!” Moon half shouted but covered her mouth, “Don't you dare come?” “Why?” The voice asked. “You are chaos and the cartel is too peaceful for that” Moon said “Whatever.. expect me tomorrow” The voice said then hangup. Moon sighed then left, She bumped into Rollins on her way. “Hey” He said. “Yeah” Moon glanced at him. “There is a mission tonight” Rollins said and Moon smiled “Can't wait... It's going to be bloody”

She is simply too trusting. If something were to happen to me, Elena would have to free herself from the binding. She must trust her fated mate when the time comes, as he is the key once I am gone. I hope I get to see the day when Elena and Damien's friendship blossoms into a beautiful romance, but if not, I know he will take care of her. The Moon Goddess's blessing of the second sight gives me great comfort with the knowledge that he's destined for her.

“But the true threat lies ahead.” Aria’s heart sank. “The Moonstone. They want it.” The First Luna nodded. “It holds the Moon’s heart. If the Eclipseborn claim it, the Pact breaks. The world falls.” Kael stepped forward, his hand on Aria’s. “Then we protect it.” The First Luna’s eyes softened. “You are her strength, Kael. But the choice is hers.” Aria’s mark burned, and a vision hit her. She saw the Moonstone shattering, darkness swallowing the world. Malakar’s voice echoed: You can’t outrun fate.

“I’m his mate. The Moon Goddess chose me. You can’t fight fate. I’m the true Luna.” I smiled, a cruel, casual expression. “Fate is a suggestion, honey. Power is a reality. I have the keys to this cell. You think Vance will save you? If he breaks you out, he loses his claim of leadership. Let’s see how long your ‘bond’ lasts when it costs him his future.” I stood up, smoothing my tunic. “Enjoy the rations. It’s notoriously cold here this time of year. It would be a shame if the heaters ‘broke’ tonight.”

A rain of burning obsidian and silver debris showered the valley, but the moon itself continued its trajectory, missing the planet and spiraling out into a new, unstable orbit around the sun. The recoil sent me into a void of darkness. The stabilizer’s gears seized. The violet filaments went black. I woke up hours later to the sound of silence. Not the silence of the void, but the silence of a cold, snowy morning. Killian was there, wiping soot from the glass of my observation port. He looked older, his hair dusted with white ash, but he was smiling. "It missed, Elara," he whispered. "The moon is gone. It's just another star now."
