A mate that was given to you by the Moon Goddess because the first one was wrong in her eyes. In this case, my mate this time around definitely seemed right for me. Even though it still seemed like a dream that was too good to be true. Kylo Knight had become even more handsome since I last saw him, and I didn’t even know that could be possible.

Only the Shadow Knights remained. The battlefield was silent for a heartbeat. Then the creatures charged. "Protect the Queen!" Rowan bellowed. Moonfall's warriors met the Shadow Knights head-on. Steel clashed against shadow and the sound echoed through the broken sanctuary. I spun my trident, meeting the first Shadow Knight before it reached Rowan. The blade of moonlight cut through its black armor and black smoke burst from the wound instead of blood. The creature screamed before dissolving into silver ash. Another struck from my left.I ducked beneath its sword and struck the shaft of my trident against its chest. Light shot outward and the knight disappeared. But three more took its place.

She shook me as if it would wake me up. "You know it already. Knight did something to make you forget things, but you knew it. My brother hypnotized you and brought you to our world, and now he’ll always come after you because he wants to conspire with you. " My mouth opened but I couldn’t understand a thing. Just what the hell? "You. Are Destined. To Kill Knight. " My jaw dropped and I felt like my body froze from her statement. "Yes. Knight was a moon child, the alpha of their pack, and was cursed by Selene, the moon goddess. And you, you were the chosen one. "

And a bright beam, silver as the moon, shot from her palm, blasting right through the middle of the creature. “H-How…” Even though the light faded, her palms still glowed warmly. The shadow creature had been reduced to nothing. She could still feel the energy humming inside of her. She blasted the shadow monster with powerful magic, one that was similar to hers. It was here. She was beautiful and intimidating and my jealousy only got stronger. Damian was shorter than Adrian and bulky. He wore his sleeves pulled up revealing tattoos and scars.
