The men nodded and got to work while the others shifted into wolves and darted back into the woods to find their comrades who had been wounded by the beast. Moon's call approached his cottage which was close to a hill at the other side of a narrow stream flowing down into the river at one part of the forest. He walked across the board bridge he had made over the stream to get to his own side. Although he would have easily sprinted through the stream if he was in his wolf form but he didn't really fancy getting wet when he was in his human form.

I shout to the mind link as the sirens blare in the background. My pack is still trying to get to where they need to be when the first wave of rogue wolves descend upon my town. I watch as my warriors jump into action and begin fighting their way through the mayhem. I see a woman with 4 pups trying to get them all gathered up and to the shelter when a rogue tries to take her out. I run towards them and grab the dirty gray wolf by his hind leg just as he clamps onto the mothers tail. I rip him back and with him, comes the tip of her tail. She wails loudly but is trying to grab her two infant pups while the other two toddlers try to get on her back.
