Blood and moonlight

Blood and moonlight

The ash from the scroll hadn’t settled. It danced in the air around them, glowing faintly, refusing to fall—like time itself was holding its breath. Ava clutched the last unburnt edge of the scroll. It hadn’t vanished entirely. One final line had revealed itself beneath the flame, etched in ink that shimmered like starlight. Her voice was barely audible as she read it aloud: “Only the child born of blood and moon may cast the Binding of Aeon—a spell so ancient it can lock the gods beyond the veil of time. But such a spell demands more than power. It must be sealed by true love… or it will fail.”

“Fine, then. But I won’t be able to do anything until tomorrow morning. The tools I need to use will need to charge, first.” I raise brows, giving Elijah a questioning look. He shrugs, “I don’t know. Put them under the full moon, then sprinkle them with herbs and chant.” “Actually, it’s a waning moon tonight. Best is to cleanse them with blessed moon water, burn a few herbs—not sprinkle—then, a suiting chant will do,” she explains. It looks like it takes everything out of Elijah not to roll his eyes. “But what about tonight?” I ask, crossing my arms. “What if she lashes out on me again?”

MOONBOUND

MOONBOUND

Tonight, its grey walls are bathed in the soft shimmer of bistro lights strung across the grounds. But the brightest light of all is the one above us—the full moon, hanging clear and silver in the sky. A formal event beneath a full moon… with a werewolf. It feels almost too much like a fairytale. And yet, I can’t ignore what the stories say about werewolves on nights like this.

I explain. “OK, so what do we do about this?” Axel asks, looking between me and my silent mate. “My mother used to say there was an acceptance that needs to be made under the full moon,” I add. “A bonding ceremony where marks are exchanged. I don’t know what she meant about marks being exchanged. I thought they would just appear when first contact happened.” “There is no way we are mates,” Thyra interjects. “I am not part of the prophecy. There is too much I still have to do before I will settle down as some male’s broodmare.”

Mated To The Omega He Hates

Mated To The Omega He Hates

She had done some reading about the Omen Moon. Kaya sat beside me and she had a book open in front of her. Her bright green wolf eyes glowed as she glanced across each page. “Miss Lorena, I think I found something about the Momen Moon.” I smiled. She had a little difficulty pronouncing the word ‘Omen’. I found it adorable. I took the book gently out of her hands and glossed over it. My eyes were wide open and I immediately rushed for my phone. Hazel had to know about this.

I also reviewed some of the pack's financial records, making sure everything was in order. As the morning wore on, I decided to take a walk in the pack's gardens. The fresh air and sunshine would do me some good, and I needed a break from the confines of the pack house. As I strolled through the gardens, I saw something I never noticed before. In the center of the clearing stood a large, ancient-looking tree. And carved into the trunk of the tree was a symbol I recognized — the symbol of the Lunar Curse. I felt a shiver run down my spine as I stared at the symbol. The Lunar Curse was a legendary affliction that caused werewolves to lose control of their wolves during full moons. It was said

The Last Moonbane

The Last Moonbane

Seraphina’s POV I should’ve felt it earlier. The magic in the air had changed that morning—thicker, sharper. Like the scent before lightning. I’d assumed it was just another enchantment spike from the west wing, or maybe one of Thalia’s experiments had flared too wide again. But it wasn’t just any magic. It was the moon. And not just a full moon—a blood moon. Rare. Unscheduled. And absolutely not on the school’s astrological calendar.

I'm here bound to be with Him

The moon descends from above, going in front of him, and every werewolf clan who sees it howls so loudly, giving their energy to the person who draws their attention. Sturn can see all the wolf energy spirits rushing toward Aziz, giving him the energy to summon his Mond. This is the second time he has seen Aziz summon his Mond. It still feels new to him, and only Aziz can do it. When a blinding light came from the moonset, Sturn covered his eyes, and when the light faded out, he saw an unfamiliar man. The man was surrounded by a dark aura, the place was covered with miasma, and the air started to get heavier.

He said, something that I already knew, and I smiled at him. "Is that all?" I asked, and he nodded. "That is all on your weaknesses," He said, and I sighed, but he looked worried, and I had to ask him why. "We are fighting with witches, and witches can cause the blood moon to appear. The only divine wolf that is powerful during a blood moon is Haimon," he said, and I understood his fear. The goddess had sent the wrong wolf for the job. "You need to hide or burn the books, Luna, so it does not fall into the wrong hands," he said, and I nodded.

MoonLight

Lynx scrambled away, still laughing even as Nathaniel chased him through the underbrush, sparks flying from his fingertips. Lalaine shook her head, a small smile playing on her lips. "The grown-ups are more childish than the orphans," she whispered to the girls, leading them back toward the nun to show off their braided hair. ---- Meanwhile, the library was a tomb of silence. To Stella, it felt like an orphanage for old, forgotten books. She wandered the aisles until a spine on the highest shelf caught her eye. She climbed the rolling wooden ladder, her fingers trembling as she pulled the volume out. "The Moon Princess" was embossed on the cover. There was no author listed. She flipped it op

Frequently Asked Questions

I stumbled upon 'Moon Kiss' during a late-night bookstore crawl, and its cover—this eerie, glowing crescent moon over a shadowy couple—immediately hooked me. The story blends romance and supernatural elements in a way that feels fresh. It follows a woman who discovers her lover is a lunar entity tied to ancient myths, and their bond unlocks hidden powers in her. The writing is lush, almost poetic, especially in scenes where moonlight becomes a character itself.

The second half takes a darker turn, exploring sacrifices made for love across lifetimes. What stuck with me was how the author wove folklore into modern settings—like moon phases affecting cellphone signals or tides syncing with emotions. It’s not just a love story; it’s a meditation on how myths persist in our tech-driven world.
