I scoffed again, placing the items I brought for Hope and Toto by their graves, then turned to leave the cemetery.
As I passed Lionel, I muttered, "Lionel, you're such a spineless coward. Sign the divorce papers. If you don't, I'll make sure you leave with nothing. You think you can get away with your affair?"
Lionel snapped out of his daze and hurried to help Maisie to her feet.
He looked at me, bewildered. "June, when did you become like this?"
I gave a small, knowing smile. Lionel had never noticed. I had always been like this.
