Mortal Kombat X Cassie Cage Novels & Stories

“He’s ours.” Luka crouched down, gripping Xavier’s jaw hard. “You have one chance to live. Tell us everything.” While they interrogated him, my mind raced to Cassie. She must be terrified. Alone. Sore from us and now knocked out by this traitor. The thought made my chest physically ache. I turned away, fists clenched so tight my nails dug into my skin. “We’re getting her back. Tonight.” Caspian nodded, eyes burning with the same lethal promise. “And when we do, whoever took her is going to wish they’d never been born.”

Viktor was on it in seconds, dragging the feed up onto the big screen in the living room. A single encrypted site. A video file already queued. They stared in silence as it loaded. Then it began. Cassie. Bound to a heavy metal chair, wrists and ankles tied with coarse rope. She wasn’t bloodied — not yet — but her cheeks were flushed with fear, her eyes wide and wet. Behind her, the background was dark, featureless. A warehouse? A bunker? Then a voice came through. Raspy, deliberate, dripping with menace. The Jackal.

He saw her moving up the stairs to the stage and Aser standing guard at the bottom of the steps. "She's moving into position," Varga said into his phone. "Target is almost in position." He thumbed the detonator in his hand. "Say goodbye to your loved ones." At the same time, Cassie walked to the podium and tried to get used to the lights while the crowd cheered for her. When she was comfortable, she beamed and adjusted the microphone. "Hello, everyone. I am Cassie Stone, and I want to thank you all for coming out. Tonight is about rebuilding. It’s about proving that no matter how hard we fall..." Below her, under the floorboards, the receiver on the tank blinked red.

There was nothing in sight as the area was sparse. While we were still observing the area... " Get in the truck now! " Another instruction landed and only then did we realize that there was indeed a truck in front of us. Obediently... We did as we were told and got on the truck... Some of the girl's proved stubborn and tried to escape, but were shot dead right in front of us... Of the girl's was Cassandra who had lost her twin. Watching her lying dead among the three other bodies I sighed. At that point... I didn't know what to think.

The door flies open and two Silver Hunters stare at me through their helmets. “Looks like we missed one,” the first one–a man–says. He advances on me, but the other Silver Hunter throws an arm across his chest. “It’s her,” she says. “The one from the courtyard.” The man hesitates, and I see the fear in both their eyes. I raise my chin, my confidence growing. When they attack, I’m more than ready for them. The man comes at me with his sword raised, but I duck it and kick him in the stomach. He doubles over, and I deliver a blow to his face with my fist.

Then she'll die happily than listening to a prick like him. "Seems like you do Miss Johansson." He stood up, brushing off the imaginary dust. That wide smirk took her soul. It was beyond creepy, just like the Devil. That smirk made him look like Kisaki in Tokyo Revengers, a perfect villain. "You are nothing but a coward. Ordering your men to hurt a woman, it's not power, it's cowardice." She blunders out in order to save her chastity and life. She has to work smartly to get out of this problem.

I decided to intensify the game. "Yes. And let me tell you something... Cassie is a woman who's past the age of marriage." My smile was cynical, watching every reaction on his face. "She’s free-spirited, outgoing, and... extremely fiery in bed. She doesn’t care what people say about her or how they see her. Plus, she has those light eyes... and dark hair, which creates a huge contrast. She’s a bold woman. Vulgar, even." I continued savoring the meat, provoking him further. I could see the veins bulging on his forehead, his face turning red as he struggled to keep his composure.

The lady spoke first then pull Xavier into a bone crushing hug. 'Hello Mrs cutter.". Xavier chuckles, he turns to the man after been released by Mrs cutter, then they did a shoulder bump. "And who is this lovely lady." Mrs cutter turns to me. "She's pari, Xavier's date." Selena chirps in. "You look beautiful." Mrs cutter says, then pulls me in for a hug. "Thanks, Mrs cutter." At least some one appreciates my efforts in looking good, not like some people whose names begins with a X.

He pours three glasses for Audrey to top off with juice, and hands us each one. "To Katherine Elizabeth Douglas! And surviving another year!" She announces to the whole room. "You say that like it's a surprise Drey." Dan tells her smirking again. "Well, I do live with her so it's always questionable," I chuckle. She puts her hand to her chest, and the three of us burst out laughing. We all drain our glasses. "Okay guys, but I really do need to get ready." I shoo them both from my bed, and shimmy out after them finally getting to stand up and stretch my legs. A sharp inhale of breath reminds me I am wearing nothing but a pair of panties and a t-shirt. I glance at Daniel, his green eyes starin

At least this was what in her thoughts that was going for a long time now as time passes by. Tears formed at the women eyes as her introduction line up and on beside her when a pop up and big characters appeared. When her introduction was invisible next to her, a pool of water appeared at the Sotiras and Heroes feet while Cassie kept crying but still stubbornly look at Kate, wanting to get an answer for her question that desperately needed a response immediately to calm her agitated heart right now.
