As I watch, the lead wolf sneaks up behind my mom. Just as Mom snaps the neck of the wolf she is holding, the lead wolf pounces on her. It grasps her throat in its jaws and bites down. Hard. The resulting crack echos as my mom’s limp body falls to the ground.

The forest morphed into a desolate graveyard, its crumbling tombstones serving as a grim reminder of mortality. Luna's legs turned to lead, refusing to obey her desperate command to flee. She was paralyzed with horror, her eyes fixated on a familiar figure that emerged from the shadows of the graveyard. It was her mother, her face etched with anguish and sorrow. "Mama!" Luna cried out, her voice cracking with a mix of fear and pain. But her mother's expression remained hollow, her eyes glossed over with an otherworldly glimmer.
