"Well, that may sound strange and suspicious, but your daughter, Jamima, was identified to be my mate, and I am come to take her!" I smile at them. They both glance at each other, terrified. I laughed inside as I saw their bemused expression. 'This is only the beginning, Parkers. Wait, as there will be more surprises in your lives!'

“You’re bold enough to yell at me and crazy enough to argue with me. That’s rare. And entertaining.” She crossed her arms, refusing to lose. “So you just want entertainment from your secretary?” “No,” he said flatly. “But if you’re going to babysit me—which is basically what secretaries do—I need someone who won’t faint every time I raise my voice.” She almost laughed. Babysit? Really? “Babysit you? Sir, last time I checked, taking care of you is not part of the job description.” Their eyes locked. Lukas, cold and arrogant. Shaina, brave but playful. Oh, and it was originally titled The Babysitter Murders, but I think Halloween has a better ring to it.” His brow twitched, lifting ever so slightly. “You like horror movies?” “Is it that obvious?” I cooed, “Are you surprised I have hobbies outside of stripping and seducing men?” “I thought we moved on from that,” He grumbled. This time I did laugh, “I’m just teasing you, Caius.” He muttered something under his breath, but it was drowned out by the opening scene. We passed the bottle back and forth as we watched, an odd sort of calm settling over us both. Eventually Caius relaxed a bit, sinking into the seat.

I rushed over, but before I could grab a slice. “Don’t touch!” Fab warned. “We have to set up everything first.” “Alright, alright. Later we included Tiana and after what happened with her sister, we remained the two of us with too many kids and too much healing to do so we hired and gathered four more babysitters to join us. The money we’ve been making for three years will be split at the end of the school year. Someone knocks on my door, I double check the time, 8:35 pm. “Coming.” I say putting my contacts in. I open the door and it’s Belle, “Hey, we’re gonna watch a movie, come join us.” “Okay.” I say tossing my phone back on my bed.

I smiled as I hoped to see my father on the screen, but when he switched it on, there was something else. Humans! Lots of humans! He went through what he called channels and I couldn’t believe there was so damn much! He stopped at what he called a movie and I gasped as I saw what they referred to as a vampire. We watched it and at the end, I was feeling infuriated! First off, vampires weren't pale! They weren’t dead as described in the movie, and they sure as hell didn’t shine! Only the royal males could walk in the sunlight, and no vampire I knew of, worked in the human world!

Then, to top that off, my baby daddy was a werewolf, which also meant that my baby was too. His best friend slept with me last night, and then he ate me out while my husband jacked off to the sound. Oh, and Finn is sort of a stalker. “Is any of this real?” I whispered out loud. “What do you mean?” Azure pulled out a chair before gathering an entire table worth of Danishes. “I feel like I’m being pranked or something right now,” I looked into his gray eyes before catching Finn’s green one’s just off to the right. “Do either of you want to pinch me?”

But she also didn't want to have that conversation standing at the door. Sighing, she entered the house and asked in a fake gentle voice: “Are you alone here?” Amy seemed a little uncomfortable with the question, but replied: “Yes, um... my mom and dad are at the clinic, and Liam went out for a run.” “Right.” And Prata confirmed that there was no one else around but the two of them. Looking seriously at Amy, Mia asked bluntly: “Are you a vampire?” She saw the smile fade from the other girl's face. She didn't even need to answer—the truth was in her red, shining eyes, revealing that she had lost control.
