My entire day revolved around two things: meals that would help me gain weight, and exercises that would build my muscle strength. And, somehow, it was working, at least on paper. He picked up a dumbbell and held it in front of his chest, demonstrating the perfect squat. His calf, quad, and hamstring muscles bulged beneath his shorts, making my face turn an even deeper shade of red.

I pull off my black leggings, matching sports bra, and lace thong and toss them in the hamper. As I tie my hair up into a messy bun, I catch a glimpse of my changing body in the mirror. This is the only time I’ve been thankful to be Maksym’s daughter. The alpha genes are really helping me to progress quickly. My thighs have grown, the faint outlines of muscles starting to become visible. I run my hand down my stomach, where my softness is fading, firmness is taking its place. My arms show the most progress, new muscle clear from my shoulders down.

His shoulders tensed as if every muscle in his body had suddenly tightened. Then a loud crack echoed across the training grounds. I flinched. Caleb doubled over, letting out a pained grunt. "What—" Another crack. Then another. My eyes widened as his body began to change. His arms grew larger, muscles stretching beneath his skin.
