People don’t run after me, there are always people who are better and guys don’t really go for someone with brains. “Hey, you have to believe in yourself. Just like how you are my number one fan, that’s how I will be yours too.” “You won’t even read any of my writing.” “That is a lie, I have read all your writings, except the voluminous ones. The ones which are as big as our biology text.” Noah fake shudders like the thought of the length alone was a nightmare. “They are called Novels.” I corked an eyebrow at him. “They take hours to read.” He returned as he uprooted a grass and used it to tickle my face.

I scoffed. "I love reading too. I mean I read novels and that's reading," I clarified and he chuckled. "The difference is, while you read novels, you recall because it's more about a boy and a girl. A prince charming and a princess and then the princess finds her prince charming and they live happily ever after, isn't that it?" He said and I shook my head in disbelief.

I don't have any pending assignments right now, so I thought I'd read a story on the Good Novel app first. Ever since I couldn't buy physical books anymore, I started reading different stories about fantasy and romance on this app. At least I'm having fun, especially when I'm stressed out over school work and other stuff. I'm reading Miss Thinz's story Her Ruthless Alpha because I love Erdy and Zerra's story. I hope I can find a man like Erdy. They're not just handsome and rich, but they're also really loving and caring. But those kinds of men can only exist in novels.

In fact, the pile of my words can be categorised as rambling. Well, I loved reading newspapers, inspirational books, classics and most importantly, novels. Love stories are a key to my heart and a fuel to my imagination. I was teased by the name 'reading maniac' because I could literally read anything. All I need is a piece of writing. Though this habit is considered ‘boring’ by my friends, but I like it so, I do it and I have no regrets or problem in being called a ‘boring person’.

The specific and particular history of people who had been present at large events and had not been the people the large events were usually said to be about. She read novels. The novels were harder to characterize. They were not genre novels and not literary novels in the specific and self-conscious way of novels that were aware of being literary. They were simply good novels, or what appeared, from the evidence of the way she held them, the specific and attentive quality of a woman who was genuinely inside a book rather than processing it, to be good novels. She had read one I recognized. She had read several I did not.

Only two seem to be nonfiction and self help books, yet when i check what content they will be self helping me with i feel surprise running through me. "The delicate art of seduction and manipulation." I fling that one to a corner of the room and pick up the other. "How to make men beg for a chance to fuck you." I fling that one even harder and it joins its partner on the floor near my wardrobe. There are four remaining. Four novels which I have two days to myself to devour. The smile that works its way up my face is radiant. I'm going to have such a good time.

Fiction writing inherently forces you to ditch a few pet ideas or plot points, but your job as a writer is to serve the book, not your own emotions. Start with characters. Readers don’t pick up a book looking for a theme. Good fiction comes from a compelling plot and strong character development. This means you’ll need a main character who is complex enough to sustain a real character arc (including a backstory), and supporting figures who can motivate subplots off the main story structure.

"What do you know about werewolves Janette?" The topic elicits a pang of hunger in me and I blink. What do I know about werewolves? Only the smuttiest, most mind-blowing things ever. "I've read some books on them." "Fiction or nonfiction?" I blink again and take some time to consider. Is there really a nonfiction side to werewolves? Aren't they just a creation of the mind? "All the books I've read on them are novels, mostly in the fiction section. I don't think there's anything nonfictional about werewolves."

The flowers and the greenery looked so inviting; I was beginning to forget the scent of nature and the feeling of the breeze on my skin and in my hair. I turned to the long shelf to find something to read to help pass the time. But most of the books were biological journals and some other non-fiction. And I wanted to read fiction; maybe some lying on pages and dreamy characters could help with the boredom. I roamed through the shelves carefully looking for something. Just when I thought the search was going to be harder, I found a few and decided to read the one with the prettiest covers. The book was so interesting; I didn’t know fiction was so good.
