The Pretend Wife
"I'll put my shirt back on. But for being a good sport, I think I deserve an apron."
I searched through a cabinet and found two aprons. One had "Kiss the Cook" printed on it, while the other was plain blue. I handed the first one to Alex and kept the other for myself.
"Not cheesy at all," he joked, pointing to the message on his apron. I giggled and blew him a kiss, which he caught with a playful grin.
"Okay, Alex, I need you to chop onions, garlic, and puree the tomatoes," I instructed him, trying to refocus on the task at hand.
