Forever Is Too Long To Be Broken

Forever Is Too Long To Be Broken

“I love you always and forever.” Carl whispered in my ears, making my face flush red but seeing his mother's glare from behind him, the blush faded. Georgia Timbers stood as an obstacle to our union, she stood against our relationship and did all she could to ruin us. “You'll never be good enough for my son!” She cursed at me occasionally. She always reminded me that I'd never live peacefully as long as I remained in Carl's life. “Will you marry me?” Carl proposed to me—The only dream I wished to come true for years but thinking back to the warnings from his mother, I wondered if our love was worth risking my life for. Staying with him would kill me gradually with every day that passed by. Leaving him would leave me broken until we meet again. This was a tough decision but I made my choice. And the consequences of my choice changed my life in a way that I would have never imagined!

I question him about it, but he says I know nothing about forging relationships. Even my mother and brother blame me for not keeping my things properly—they say I'm dumb for leaving money lying around when I know my father likes to lend money to others. Later, my boss fires me but doesn't call the cops. All he wants is for me to repay him. To do so, my father finds me a high-paying job. It's only when I get there that I realize I'm supposed to be an old man's housekeeper. On my first day there, he violates me. I want to call the cops, but my father tells me to be forgiving of him. Love That Came Too Late Is Empty

Love That Came Too Late Is Empty

While my husband, Gerald Brown, was abroad negotiating a business deal, he was drugged and spent the night with a female secretary from a rival company. The drug’s side effects scrambled his memory so badly that he forgot who I was. He kicked me out of the master bedroom and let the secretary smash my grandmother’s heirloom. I told myself he was sick and stayed silently by his side. But when I suggested taking him for a medical checkup, he hit me for the first time. “Who do you think you are? Only Ailey is allowed to touch me. If she gets jealous, you’ll regret it.” When the secretary framed me, he pushed me down the stairs, and I suffered a miscarriage. Late one night, when my heart condition flared up, I went to his study for medicine but overheard him talking to his friend outside the door. “Faking amnesia to bring Ailey home is one thing, but why replace your wife’s heart medication? Now, she’ll never return to the hospital for surgery.” Gerald just chuckled. “If I don’t keep her weak, she’ll go to the hospital and check the hospital records and find out I was never drugged. Ailey’s been timid since childhood and even went undercover for me in a rival company. I can’t betray her.”

His first love, Michelle Lavigne, insisted on taking a risk and flying to a thousand meters above ground when the balloon’s helium began to leak.  In that moment of crisis, Keith grabbed the tandem parachute and leaped with her.  With tears in my eyes, I begged him, “I'm pregnant with your child. Can’t you take me first?” But he reproached me. “Is this really the time to fake your pregnancy because of a bit of jealousy? You learned how to skydive but Chelle is afraid of heights. We’ll wait for you on the ground.” Then he forcibly shook off my hand and parachuted down with his first love.  He failed to notice the hole in the only parachute he left me. Michelle had deliberately done it.  Carrying our unborn child, I closed my eyes and leaped.

Tehreem zehra
where there are too many chapters it is 1) Stockholm syndrome or 2) the writers drag the story deliberately to bring back the once wrong relationships, heart broken lovers, selfish and abusive husbands again. Somewhere they discourage the girls from seeking happiness and drift them back to the trap
Tracey Wijetunge
Would have been a good story and shorter if author didn’t screw up the plots. One minute they are dead then they are not. One minute they are married then just engaged such a big stuff up but then I guess it’s one way to rip you off.
