The playground stood invitingly in the distance, a place I recognized through flashes of memory. As I approached, memories flooded in like the tide. The laughter of children, the creaking of swings carried by the gentle breeze, and the scent of cotton candy and popcorn from the nearest shop. But the most vivid of all was the laughter of a little girl. Gemma. Poppy's daughter is a brilliant light, smiling like sunlight breaking through the clouds.
