Found (Book #8 in the Vampire Journals)

Found (Book #8 in the Vampire Journals)

She shivered and looked away. As they turned down another street, the entire block was filled with blacksmiths. Everywhere flew anvils and hammers, and the ping of metal rang throughout the street, each blacksmith seeming to echo the other. There were also clay pits with large flames roasting slabs of red-hot metal, on which they were forging horseshoes, swords, and all sorts of metal work. Caitlin noticed the faces of children, black with soot, sitting by their father’s sides, watching them work. She felt badly that the children worked at such a young age. Caitlin looked everywhere for a sign of Scarlet, of her Dad, of any clue of why they were here—but she found none.

Life in the Cellar

Life in the Cellar

This person provided a ton of key info just to bring down their competitor. And that person's last name was Carver. After thanking the police, I left the station. On the way home, I remembered a weird phone call I'd gotten once. The number was unfamiliar, and all I could hear on the other end was muffled sobbing. I lifted my head and looked up at the blazing sun. Its warmth washed over me. "What do you feel like eating today, babe?" Julian asked, his eyes crinkled into a smile. "Anything you make will be perfect," I said.

None of them seemed to mind him as they went about their duties. Zenas walked past the entrance into the hot interior. From the heat of the building, he guessed that a fire was burning, fire by which the blacksmith would melt iron to be shaped into weapons and shields. As he walked into the dark interior to seek whom to talk to a small figure bumped into him with surprising strength almost knocking him to the floor.

The Kind Villain: A Legend of Woof-Woof

The Kind Villain: A Legend of Woof-Woof

At the blacksmith shop, I was reluctant to approach Amos about my concern. Currently, he's refining another dagger in front of the refiner's fire. I notice his eyes are stuck still on the heat while picking the tools beside him without looking at them. He's so occupied that he didn't notice my presence behind him. I had my hands on the back whilst watching him, and I saw his right hand searching for something while his left was busy with the refiner.

The chiseler (BlackBook 4)

The chiseler (BlackBook 4)

The poor thing tried its best to illuminate the tiny dim room for as long as he could remember and reckoned it was time to retire. The chunky fellow, now opposite him, ingested his last bite on one go, which on decent occasion will be three bites worth. "I am no believer, kid, therefore, I don't give a damn about whatever mumbo-jumbo is scripted in that waste of paper sheets and ink." He leaned his head against the wall. In the silence of the dull morning, Greene could hear the faint roaring of an engine to live then crunches of the two minutes walk neighbor's truck wheels against the gravel pull out of the driveway. The faint barking of his Spaniel resonated seconds later and then silence.

The Way of the Dragon

The Way of the Dragon

With a cracking noise, Zephyr sent his energy over once again. A loud metal clang rang throughout the mountain. Such efforts were so great, that even Zephyr started to pant. However it was not for nought, as the metal slowly formed into its desired shape. Many hands and hammers struck upon the metal. “Don’t give up, kid!” the smith called out, willingly sparing some focus away from his Herculean task. Zephyr could not help but hold deep respect for the old man. Any other fighter would never have spared any attention.

The Rogue Alpha's Omega Substitute Bride

I urged Thomas and we walked to the blacksmith shop. As we entered, he raised an eyebrow after seeing the works being done by John. “This is the famous mined lead I've heard about, right?” He gasped.
